Hang in there. I'm sure picture of teacher will soon be forthcoming so you can decide whether you would "hit it", and to ponder where was those teachers when you were in school.

The contract they signed has a start date of December 2019, so if it doesn't happen that is on the Parish/other people. I know I usually work with them during the summer for extra money so it is something I planned on doing during travel.

Thought I heard that wouldn't even be a school bond for the new high school until next year, which puts construction out 4-5 years at minimum

No clue on any of that, I know bids went out last year and according to what I was told by someone who won a bid construction was supposed to start before this school year. Then in got pushed back... No update since probably June on my end though since it doesn't come up in casual conversation.

Ah, okay. The area desperately needs a new high school. My sauces said the new high school would be open closer to when the new primary and middle schools had some kids come up, so they could get used to their new school zone and all that. It made sense, but yeah they need a new high school to relieve DTHS and even STA. Even with the new freshmen academy at DTHS, they are still way over capacity.

I was present when Alexander stated this. No new HS anytime soon unfortunately.

Duecen, not trying to call you a liar. There must be some confusion though. Trust me, I wish a new HS was coming in the next year or two.

I'm going by what I was told on the bidding and how certain projects we're bidded out and accepted

Maybe from DTHS, but admin and APSB is scrambling to sweep this under the rug so he can at least transfer to another high school, or even back home and still teach. He is VERY well liked and involved in lots of clubs and organizations and has achieved lots of accolades.

Of course it shouldn’t, but we all know it means A LOT. This guy is a favorite, maybe THE favorite of admins at DTHS. Hell, maybe even of APSB.

I’ve met the best and brightest douches in the field that admin love. No student’s life is worth ruining for a single one.
