The Redskins have sucked for over 20 years of my life

At this point I’m just going to ride it out

Sticking with your team is much more satisfying when they’re good again

Never changed teams never will.

College - Alabama and I follow Football MBB Baseball and M+W Golf closely.

MLB - Atlanta Braves

NFL - Jacksonville Jaguars

NBA - Miami Heat

NHL - Carolina Hurricanes

Only follow the US National team in soccer.

Yes.

Saints fan from the time I was 5 until about 12 when they got Drew Brees and the Saints bandwagon multiplied by 10.

Now I root for the Giants, because I met Eli in person, and Brandon Jacobs grew 15 minutes from me

Yeah I grew up a Laker fan and watched them all through the 80's - then Magic retired in the 90's so I became a Bulls fan - wasn't too difficult, Bulls were pretty good in the 90's...and I used to watch WGN as a kid. So it made sense.

Then when Jordan retired before 2000, I became a Lakers fan again with Shaq and Kobe because of my previous allegiance...it just made sense to go back to my team as a kid.

But I don't live in SoCal anymore, so I've been a pretty rabid Warriors fan the last 5 years. It just makes sense.

On the football front I was a big Raider fan until the mid-80's but then I switched to the Niners because I didn't live in SoCal anymore. It made sense.

In the 90's I became a Cowboys fan because my Uncle lived in Texas. He wasn't a Cowboy's fan but he did live in Texas. It made sense.

My sister lives in New England after her days at Cornell so for the past 20 years I've been a die-hard Pats fan. It just made sense.

This summer I took a trip to Washington, D.C. to see the Capitol. We toured the Library of Congress, Smithsonian, Space Museum...

Because of that trip, this late fall I became a Nats fan...it just made sense.

Changing teams is pretty easy if you've got relatives and travel a lot.

Closest I came was changing from The LA Kings to the Stars. But Hockey isnt in my blood. I lived in Southern Cal when the Kings got Gretzky and I knew I should watch him. had never watched Hockey. Me and another LSU grad got into hockey that way, watching Gretzky. But I moved to Dallas but they didnt have a team then. But a year or two later the north Stars moved here so i started pulling for them. Oh wait....frick...yea.....I grew up a Longhorn fan and after going to LSU was a 50-50 fan. Luckily we didnt play the horns back then. It was Applewhite getting benched in favor of that TV sports broadcaster's kid that finally put me off the horns and made me a solid Tiger fan. So I would say, go with your heart.

After the Oilers left Houston, my NFL fandom was derelict until I went to LSU. Then I began following the Saints while hungover on Sundays.

After the Colts abandoned Baltimore I landed with the Redskins. It was right at the beginning of the Joe Gibbs era. I had a roommate that loved the Cowboys and one time wrecked shite in our apartment when the 49ers scored with under a minute left, against the Cowboys. The Cowboys won something like 34-7 but his was pissed they lost the shutout.
Secretly started rooting for the Skins to beat the Boys.
Now I hate the Skins

Astros/Saints/LSU for life.

I can’t really claim the Lakers anymore. I haven’t watched a game from start to finish since April 2016.

Never watched a NFL game in it's entirety until adulthood. Not from Louisiana, but started following the Saints once I moved there.

Not a team allegiance change necessarily, just a late adoption

Loved Tom Landry and the 1970’s Cowboys. Cried when the Cowboys lost to Montana and “the catch”. I was like 13 years old. Cried like a baby sitting on my bed.

Once Jerry Jones bought the team and arrogantly fired Landry and hired a-hole jimmy Johnson , I became pissed and never rooted for them again.
