News around my watering hole is that the perp and vehicle were just located about a mile from the accident.
ETA: Reached our to my police contact. Waiting for confirmation one way or the other.

I’m betting it’s a Nissan Armada as well. Lots of Northside Monroe soccer moms drive them. Especially white ones. Could be the Infinity version but I doubt it.

He confessed
MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Monroe Police have charged 51-year-old Daniel D. Ross of Monroe with negligent homicide and felony hit and run in connection with the death of 15-year-old Ashley Dorsey.
Monroe Police reveal detectives were able to identify that Ross was driving a white Chevy Equinox when he hit Dorsey while she was riding her skateboard on Park Avenue near Eason Place around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Detectives were able to secure a confession from Ross who will be booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.
Dorsey was a sophomore at Neville High School.
