A severe injury has been ruled out for Zion Williamson’s right knee, but he is expected to miss period of weeks to start regular season, league sources tell ESPN. Pels are clearly treating injury with an abundance of caution but there’s no shortage of confidence on full recovery.

To be fair, that could line up with meniscus, which is typically a 4-6 week injury.

Its good that it isn't serious but this really doesn't say much. Hopefully just a sprain.

We don't actually know he's wrong yet.

Exactly. That could be two or 4 or who the frick knows. Its good that they expect a full recovery and its not serious.

But either a meniscus tear, or just needing to clean up something in the knee would have him out 4-6 weeks, which could be translated as a "period of weeks".

Not much clarity there. None of us expected it to be major like an ACL or something else anyway.

This is kinda as expected. If you didn't trust random posters on a message board. Pelicans just be overly cautious which is to be expected with Zion.

More than 1 week, less than 2 months?

Silver lining - I'm out of town for Pels home opener, at least now I'll be in town for Zions home debut

I bet between 2-4 weeks. Otherwise, you say about a week or about a month. I'd put the games missed probably between 10-15. Just a guess though.
