AL.com article. Pretty much says that to move the kickoff time CBS has to contact the league office and that hasn’t happened yet. And with the game three weeks away it looks doubtful it’s getting moved.

Good.

But this doesn't mean squat. There is plenty of time. Money makes things happen.

I thought it was in the contract that the game has to be played at night and when both teams are coming off a bye week?

2:30 favors us. We need a change in order to expect different results. Also not at Tiger Stadium so I don’t care.

This means Nothing. Like a previous poster stated $$$$$$$ changes the rules.

I've seen game times get moved with 5 days of the game.

Ill take 3:30. Getting whipped for so many years in primetime kinda ruined it for me.

Espn doesn't have a big game that week. So they will listen if cbs talks to the SEC and the sec starts negotiating.

CBS has in its contract with the SEC to televise one night game a season. They already used that option with the ND-GA game.

ESPN would have to agree for CBS to have another night game of which they obviously would want to be compensated.

I don't know why so many on here are so obsessed with LSU playing at night. If it was in Death Valley I would want it at night too but in Tuscaloosa why should it matter.

ABC is going to have a pretty big game that night if Iowa wins their next 2 games. It will be a top 20 Iowa team going into Camp Randall. They are not thrilled about putting LSU/Bama up against it. CBS is still trying but nothing will be done, if at all, until the bye week.

Exactly. And I think someone posted the other day that the last time this situation happened, and CBS negotiated with ESPN to be able to move the game to prime time, it was done only like a week or so out from the game.

CBS has no reason to negotiate this right now as both teams still have 2 games to play before their match-up. On the off-chance or disastrous circumstance that either team loses 1 or both of those games, then CBS wouldn't care less about making it a prime time game. If both teams win their games, as expected, then you could possibly see CBS start negotiations with SEC and ESPN the next day (which would be 2 weeks out from the game) to try and move to prime time if that is what they wish to have happen.

The 2011 game was also on November 5th and the move wasn't announced until October 24th. A lot of time in between now and then considering how much cash is on the line. Official TV times also aren't decided for that game until October 28 so the decision being made anytime before then really doesn't make sense anyway.
