Coming into this game, LSU had averaged 74 plays a game. Vs Florida, 48 plays with a total of 42 points. We all know the long Florida drives killed our TOS and play count. But push that point average out per our normal play average, LSU, mathematically, could have put up 65 points on that top tier defense.

What a special year

The efficiency of the offense has been outstanding. scored on 6 of 9 drives and missed a FG, too. Not sure how anyone can stop this offense if Florida can't even slow us down.

the only troubling trend here. He's missed a few now.

Honestly, that was probably as close to a perfect offensive performance in Tiger Stadium that we'll ever see against a good opponent. The blocking, running passing were all nearly perfect. This is a historic offense for LSU. Enjoy it. The execution is phenomenal.

to be fair to this statement, both their elite pass rushers were out for significant portions of the game... that definitely helped us, and I'm very glad it did, make no mistake....

that being said, the efficiency at which this offense operates will pose a problem to any team we play... we showed Saturday that we can still run the ball effectively, if needed, while still maintaining surgical precision with our air attack...

He's missed two. A 44 and a 53 yarder. and he's 7-9 for the year.

He's a true freshman, he's not going to make every one.

And the end of both halves were the reason for the other two non-scoring possessions.

but hasn't one of them been out 4 weeks. All those sacks their D had when he was out.

Zuniga and Greenard haven't been the field together since September. Zuniga UF's best DL didn't leave the game until the middle of the 3rd quarter! LSU had already proved it could move the ball at will and that was with both of them in the game.

There's always a defense out there that can stop an offense but LSU will be one of the hardest to stop this year!

Matter of fact Florida couldn’t even stop our running game doesn’t that include DL, linebackers, and safeties? I ain’t buying that their best defensive ends were out. Bs. We whooped dat arse

so roughly 1/3 of the game... that's significant... how do you think LSU would do if Burrow goes down for 1/3 of that game?

i'm not saying that we couldn't... but both of them being out definitely helped our cause, don't you think? thats all i'm getting at... calm your nerves... i'm not saying that we were doomed if those guys were in there, i'm saying that them being out made it that much easier, and that's the context that it should be viewed in.... we still had a great performance, yet again, but it was all that much easier when their 2 elite DL went down...

Sorry dan, you should learn to recruit better if your performance drops like that from 2 guys. And dan, if you’re such a good coach prepare for such eventualities.

Florida is very fortunate they were as close as they were. What statistics don’t show. The gator score one touchdown on a tipped ball. On two other separate possessions we had potential interceptions that ended up with them scoring touchdowns.

That is 21 points they would not have, to think LSU would not have put up at least 14 points after the turnovers you’re not being realistic. The Tipped ball came on on fourth down play. I think Florida should thank their lucky stars it was not worse.
