CNN all in all over Syria news and GOP hammering Trump

Fox has virtually nothing on these developments.
Regardless, what's your take on all this talk of abandoning the Kurds to be slaughtered and ISIS to return?
The President said 50 troops? Is that right?
50 troops kept Turkey from going in all this time?
What about the WW2 comments?
My take is, the region needs to sort out it's own issues.
Why in the hell are we there in the first place?
I feel like we've flipped positions since 2001...
Democrats didn't want to go in...
Republicans trusted Bush...
Now Democrats are upset we pulled 50 troops? And several GOP members are upset too.
Where is the truth?
Did Trump make a mistake?
Or is what is happening now, would happen in the future anyways?
Clearly the hate is not something a soldier can make go away.
"they want to fight all along" Trump said of Turkey

At least these attacks on Trump surround actual policy instead of fantasies.

It fascinates me how people have forgotten the steps that need to be taken to deploy troops. We're not at war with Syria OR Turkey.
Wish people understood how these things worked.
ETA: For those of you who want us to be involved in yet another endless war. Go join the military please.

It’s nice to see that CNN supports the American tradition of endless wars. Big change since Iraq.

Turks are doing this for 2 reasons. They are pushing Kurds away from their borders (1) Because of the terrorism of the Kurdish PPY I think they call it. They are as hated and feared in Turkey as Al Queda is in America and Europe and much, much more active there and will NEVER stop. And (2) Too settle Syrian refugees in Turkey since they are homeless This before another issue develops.
The WH is between a rock and a hard place. We are slowly losing Turkey a key part our containment of the Russian bear with our strategic bases there...to Russia. In part because the people there don't like us because of the perceived support we have given to the Kurds who they equate to terrorists since the PPY is just that.
So we could stay deployed there in force forever and support the Kurds who yes, harbor X number of terrorists and wind up actually being a part of that terror by doing so. Until the Turks got fed up and went across the border and took out our mighty force of 50 troops.
This all gets back to a ME Muslim on Muslim extreme beef that has only one answer: someone must win and run the others far, far away or kill them. We can't solve it although we have tried. The last two US admins Bush/Obama just pushed it off on the next poor clown and likely more before them. Trump just caught the button and his policy of ending "endless wars" has magnified the situation. Let the Russians protect them? In our dreams since they won't and that would mean a worse situation. The Kurds need to get to negotiating. But they so far have refused. Preferring to fight it out.

Dems/MSM hate that he has a new talking point, also a wedge issue to hammer Senate Neocons to go along with impeachment

Hey, just thought of something! Maybe we can get some sort of “Turkey collusion” story going!! Then follow it up with a little obstruction, stonewalling, and coverup!

Oh, quite a lot. Playing on American sympathies in the interest of the war machine is at least 120 years old.

I heard Some necon on Fox last night call Trump’s approach the “Endless war canard.”
I had to turn off the TV.
Seriously. Are we supposed to babysit the Kurds forever?
And moreover Turkey is in freaking NATO. Trump got so much shite from these same people for being meanie pants to NATO.
Let these crazies fight it out,
Nothing about this situation is in our national interest. There’s no reason to keep our military involved.
