i want a day game for the lsu bama game...why you ask...we play better during the day... and we need to change that series up...and call me superstitious but i believe that last time we beat them besides the 9-6 game was at 2:30...

If I had to choose one, I’d rather Florida be a day game and Auburn be at night.

I expect the CBS 6 day option to be selected today.

The last time LSU beat Bama, other than the actual last time LSU beat Bama?

November 6, 2010 - I believe that was the last game I watched in the stadium, not 100% sure, but mostly sure.

Yes, 2:30 kickoff and that was the first game I ever went to "late" - like I got to my seat and they kicked off just moments later. I came directly from New Orleans after work. Classic LSU defense smothered them, we won the turnover battle, were surprisingly balanced and had a good special teams outing. 24-21

In Tiger Stadium was at 2:30. Don't be a dick. You get his point.

We beat them in 2010 at 230.

I don’t see a reason why they’d use it. Alabama and TAMU are both off this week - we’re not going to learn anything more about either of them. Even if Auburn wins by 2-3 scores, is Alabama / TAMU really a bigger draw than an undefeated LSU vs a one-loss (and likely top-15) Florida?

I was very badly hoping for UF to be at night but have come to terms with the fact that we’re looking a 2:30 CBS kick square in the face..

Yeah well that’s not happening. Have you seen the SEC slate for the 26th? We’ll have the 2:30 game, you can book that.

I find the point to be irrelevant. The last time LSU beat them in Bryant-Denny it was at night. And the time before that. The outcome of 1 game almost 10 years ago has 0 relevance.

Time of day didn't seem to matter when LSU was on a 9-3 run from 2000-2011.

This CBS contract needs to not be renewed. That's for sure.

Well, the last time we won at Tiger Stadium, anyway.

The series has lots of negatives for us.

After winning two straight in 1969 and 1970 (the very best Mac teams, IMHO, particularly the 1969 team), we would not win again until 1982 (Bear's last season), @ Bham. We would not win in Tiger Stadium again until 2000 (which was the same year we lost to UAB), although we would win another game @Bham and 2 in T-Town in the interim.

Since 1980, LSU is still 12-8 @Bama (Bham and Tuscaloosa). Over that same span, Bama is 15-4-1 in Tiger Stadium, effectively reversing home field advantage for both teams over those periods, markedly so for Bama in TS. Now, in addition to the tie in 1985, there have been 4 OT games (including the famous 9-6 "Game of the Century"), with the home team losing all 4 of those contests.

Lopsided wins? Those are mostly in Bama's favor - 2018 (29-0), 2002 (31-0), 1996 (26-0) and those 3 were in Tiger Stadium to add salt to the wound. LSU did roll Bama in 1997, 27-0, in Tuscaloosa, but we have few other 3 - 4 TD wins over them since 1980 (notably 2003). They have a few other times - e.g. 1992, and even at Tuscaloosa (1990), but the most painful is obviously 1/9/2012 (21-0).

Since 1969, Bama is 20-5-1 in Tiger Stadium (including a run of 15 straight games from 1971 through 1998 during which they won 14 and tied 1).

It is what it is.

Yeah, I agree that it is not probable, but a man can hope. The way Auburn has been playing, we need the sauced up night crowd for the added boost.

When will we know if they have exercised the option to push it back a week?

I Am hoping we played two 11 am games with the understanding that we will have both Florida and Auburn as primetime night games in Tiger Stadium. I expect Bama to be the CBS afternoon Game.
