He’s running on his family (business) name

Guy has a no show job and I’m sure would work for the interests of Northshore developers

Got a mailer that said McMath has been arrested for public drunkenness, 2 DWI's and had his law license revoked. I voted for Falconer. Voted to Cooper and Lentz also.

Well frick Mcmath, the last thing we need is to help out the developers and real estate industry anymore.

What about Mike Cooper vs Karen Champagne? And the sheriffs race?

Cooper is the reason it takes 25 min to get from hwy 25/ 190 to the bogue falaya bridge- he was was on the planning/ development and allow North Covington turned into Kenner with a 2 lane hwy- screw that dude

I see you know a bit about Covington's history.

To be fair they are all pro development I think. Everyone of them is in the pockets of the real estate association and developers.

Doesn't surprise me. LA 1077 north of Goodbee has gone from cow pastures to a hot, flood-prone, mess in just a few years.

Was he involved with turning 190 into the "super highway"? Because 190 is one of the single best traffic improvement projects I've ever seen

All full of DSLD/Horton cookie cutters that screw the $/sq ft value of everyone else in the area

Yep. My family has had land on that road since before the Civil War and it's disgusting to see what's going on there. What ticks me off is after the March 2016 flood, we couldn't replace a house trailer that had been on our property for 40 years unless we elevated to a certain level, but developers are free to build whatever the Hell they want w/o any questions from the parish. Our house there has not flooded, but it's only a matter of time.

Exactly why I will not vote for McMath. In other races I'll vote for Cooper and Lentz.

Don’t know the other two, but Falconer has been a pretty consistent conservative.

I’m voting for Falconer in the Senate race. Tell me more about Lentz for Sheriff....

I’m not opposed to the job Smith has done. Lentz seems to be a nice guy. Admittedly, I haven’t done much research on the candidates for Sheriff.

I'm not sure how you came to your conclusion. You do realize that 190 isn't in Covington right. Why not just blame him for Biden and Ukraine while your at it.

As for 190, it was a major clusterfrick. Now it is only a clusterfrick at rush hour. The only way to solve that is to vuild a new bridge over the river. FWIW, Cooper pushed for that (strongly), but since is US 190 (US as in United States), he was rebuffed due to cost. In short, there is no easy fix that doesn't cost a fortune.
