To think LSU missed out on Dak

Would have been the best TE since Robert Royal

Amazing how hindsight is always 20/20

He had one great season at State

Les never could judge a good QB. Surprised he didn’t snap it straight to one of the 8 fullbacks he kept on the roster.

That was on Crowton. Gary thought he would be a TE
ETA: ^That's the vodka talking. I have no idea the timeline

He went right where he should’ve.

Dak wouldn’t be in the NFL if he had came to LSU. QB development was truly terrible under Les. There are plenty of examples.

Haven’t you learned? Joe Montana would not have succeeded under Miles.

Would’ve been a solid line backer here

It's dumb, revisionist history. He wasn't even nationally recruited.

He went to Mississippi State. A lot of people missed on him. Not just LSU.

He prob would have been a dud in Miles’ 1960 offense.

With 20/20 hindsight no
That’s 2 separate issues though. Miles did not recruit and develop a single HS QB, that’s unbelievable but they did sign several 4 guys hard to crucify them for missing a 3* that was more of a runner. Besides Dak was perfect for Mullen’s system. He probably wouldn’t have been any better than Jefferson here

We didn't recruit Drew Brees either.

Crowton was long gone by the time Prescott was in high school.

Here are the teams that offered Dak:
Mississippi State
LSU
No other P5 teams, not any of the smaller Louisiana schools like UL Monroe, UL Lafayette, Northwestern, or La Tech.
At least Les and LSU offered

It was hindsight for Miles but not for Mullen. I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder. Miles was a blockhead. C.f. his mastery of the clock in games.

Only person that missed on Zak was Miles. Every one else new what Zak was.
