To the truly independent voters of the board

What is your take on all of the current theatrics currently going on over the last three years? What exactly will make you vote the way you do in 2020 based on what we know today? You guys are the true deciders of an election in nearly all cases and I'm just wondering what criteria will be considered in casting your vote.

Be prepared for a bunch of leftist, masquerading as independents, to enter with their opinions

People can say whatever they want, but a TRUE independent voter would support this POTUS.
He's the only one who hasn't been living in the swamp for decades...

I'm a swing voter more than anything, don't consider myself independent. After Russia, Kavanaugh, I stopped paying much attention to anything the media and democrats said. After watching Schiff yesterday paraphrase in Congress I'm more embarrassed than anything. I'll continue to support Trump and if this keeps up will no longer pay attention to senate and representatives running, I'll just go R. I am at the point where I don't have much for voting D anymore, there's very few good one's I trust anymore.
ETA: I've been supporting Trump for awhile I should add but I"ve had my Trump bashing on record here and even made many comments over the years in support of some democrats and certain issues I supported Obama on. I do think Trump probably doesn't understand the do's and dont's since he's hasn't been a politician and makes some mistakes but I am supporting him now due to what he's done since he's been in office.

I have never voted Republican in a general election since I've been able to vote. I voted Libertarian in 2004, wrote in Ron Paul in 2008 and voted for Gary Johnson in 2012 and 2016. I will be voting for Trump in 2020.

It has become something I laugh at instead of partaking in. It seems like there is no true discourse from either side. It’s become a dick measuring contest with nobody wanting to “lose”

Yeah, I only expect about a half dozen honest responses.

I’ll never vote Democrat again. They’ve made it obvious that they are completely off the rails. They have zero stance on anything but Let’s all hate Trump.

I think it’s silly and dumb. But I’m not voting democrat or republican either way. So I’m the wrong one to ask.

I am a true registered independent, and the first vote I ever cast was for Donald J Trump. I think he exposed the blatant media bias. I never knew it was so obvious until he took office. I don’t agree with everything Trump says, but I’m 100% behind his aim to put America first. I understand he doesn’t hate immigrants, but he enforces the law that they should come in legally through a process. I don’t think illegal immigrants should have any rights whatsoever to our healthcare, etc.
I can’t stand radical Democrats. Every late night show I accidentally leave on has the comic totally belittling and mocking our president. It’s truly shameful.

Trump is getting it worse than Bush got. The degree to which they want him out lends credibility to the Deep State stuff.
It is destroying the media but also hurting the Republican Party a lot. Both deserve it.

Our household treasury has benefitted greatly from the tax cuts. And, largely support reasonable immigration policies and taking on Chinese ip theft. Also pleased at efforts to get out of middle East. Do not want a radical left president, although not opposed to asking the billionaires to write checks once a year.
Hard to square this with an individual that based on actions, has the emotional maturity of a middle school girl. Or worse, shows signs of being a narcissist sociopath. Manages the office of the president like a new York mobster. Like the policy positions very much dislike the person.

At this point, I would vote Trump, because I’m a counter culturist nowadays.

I was able to vote in 2012 and we are dead on track with voting history. I consider myself a classical liberal, but it's hard to find that with either party. I don't want to vote for a big 2 party, but the left is so insanely off base, I think it's important to get as much of the popular vote to Trump as possible to start a pendulum swing back to normality when they realize what they're doing is insane. I wish there was a 'because eff you liberals' option.

Trump has destroyed the R party and it will take them ~10 years to regain credibility. He has operated straight from the dictator playbook and his most ardent supporters are literally too stupid to recognize it.
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of his presidency has been his ability to cast the media as the enemy, giving his moronic base license to never rationally evaluate any piece of information they find distasteful.
Clinton would've been a godawful president. Trump is somehow worse.

No you're not. Like I said, I put a lot of stock in independents deciding elections. The only thing I don't understand about their voting is their throwaway votes on a candidate who has no chance in hell in winning an election. When you are trying to get to point B from point A and you come to a fork in the road that neither one appeases you, you still have to make a choice if you want to continue the journey. Some decide to just stay at the fork.
I don't quite get that.

Could you at least list just one specific law or policy Trump has enacted that qualifies him as a dictator?

That's a lot of muh feelz.

You seriously want to talk about stupid. Wow, you have now moved to the top of that list.
