Apparently toddlers can now choose to be a vegetarian

I know this because I was at the bar and one came up and announced it to everyone, seriously.
I'm up in Wisconsin for work. Myself and a coworker were having a drink when a woman came and sat next to me. She was the stereotypical no makeup frizzy haired crazy liberal. She's talking to the bartender asking about the menu when she points behind her and says "he's a vegetarian". I kind of snickered, but to each their own. Well "he" moved over into my view and what I saw was another woman holding a baby. There's no way this child was older than 2, I'd guess 18-24 months.
When I saw that, I busted out laughing and pointed out to my coworker. He was laughing too.
Blew my mind for a moment at how ridiculous that was to announce that a child that young is a vegetarian. Poor kid is doomed already and doesn't even know it. They are raising that kid for a life of failure.

I think it's stupid too...but I'm curious why you think it is. Is it because you don't think children that young can make decisions like that?

Was the toddler pre-op or post-op?

Unless the child has a medical condition preventing meat in the diet. Yes, that exists.

Well, the alternative is a 4-5 year old that won't eat any vegetables. Get your kid on vegetables early than introduce proteins into their diet later. Kids almost always take to proteins and it's hard as hell to steer them back to vegetables after.
and GFYS OP. Mind ya biznass.

Lol... what if the baby decided he/she was gay at 18 months of age?
Come on dude, most kids that age are eating grapes and mac and cheese every night anyways.
Yeah it's stupid and you're stupid for thinking a baby is going to make a rational decision

Because it's highly likely that child didn't make a decision at all, the decision was made for him. I mean the kid is at the age where you'd chop up a hot dog into little pieces for him to eat. They seemed like the type to interpret him spitting one out as a claim that he's a vegetarian.

He's highly evolved, he's observing his lower self imbibing.

I mean you can feed your kids all kinds of garbage from McDonalds, making them vegetarian doesn’t seem so bad in comparison.

They were probably trying to spare your feelings since you seem like the type to feed a small child cut up pieces of lips and assholes.

To this day, I like the lamb "pate" that comes in the little glass jars with baby faces on them. Add some tony's and olives and slap it on a Ritz!

They may have foods that they don’t like, but, to answer your question, no, they are incapable of making decisions like that.

Might be less of a choice and more of a medical condition? Try not to worry yourself with how other people live.

Won’t be the last medical condition this child has to overcome...

Given this is a CHILD we are talking about, I sincerely hope they don't have to suffer from any (further) medical conditions.

if that’s the case, what if your toddler decided they wanted to be a dog. Cool with them drinking out of a water bowl and eating kibble with Kujo on the floor?

If the child has PKU, it can cause seizures, brain damage, stunted growth along with other things.

Ohh thanks Captain Virtue Signaler.
Let me clarify for the sensitive: being that the Infant child will be missing out on the nutrients in meat that most children at that age begin receive, it is feasible that it could have future health issues.
But again, I’m not a dietician and/or pediatrician.
(nor are any of you....but this is the OT)
