When a woman "Dumps" you, most of the time you've already checked out mentally.

"Girl, what's going on with you and Todd?"

"I cut him loose. I got tired of his bs"

Truth is, he was tired of her looooooooong before...and just didn't know how or chose not to tell her. Only difference is, she made the first move. But being the "Dumper" is just a way to protect one's ego.

One clear indicator is that he never attempts to reach out to her after the breakup...perhaps to reconcile. He's perfectly content.

A lot of times men can be in a bad situation and don't know how get out of it, or just "ride it out" until it fizzles. There are also situations where he may be in fear of how she may react to being kicked to the curb. Not to say these are justifiable reasons, but they do exist.

During the courting period, you’re putting on your best front. After the new wears off and things get comfortable people don’t try as hard.

And you aren’t trying to woo her anymore and she isn’t trying to be this ravishing thing that takes your breath away. It’s just natural.

New conquests are always alluring

She dumped you bro.

No amount of spin will change that.

This reads like someone who got dumped and is trying to convince himself he wanted it too.

You’ve got a gift to say trite nonsense while thinking you are saying something insightful.

^^ This

And I'll add that the allure of new conquests blind people to the compatibility between them. At first, nearly every relationship will feel like potential marriage material because you overwhelmingly admire their positive qualities and ignore the negatives.

There’s a difference between her ending it once you’ve already checked out and just haven’t found a good way to end it yet and her ending it because she had checked out.

I think the biggest indicator is how you sleep together. When you are inches from each other but there’s a million miles between you, it’s pretty much over. It’s just about who decides to admit it first.

You can blame her.

You can change your number.

You can block her on social media.

But you can never un-lick her a-hole.

I hate it when women say “you shouldn’t even be looking at other women!”

Temptation is ALWAYS there. It’s about resisting it and making a conscious decision not to go down that road that shows your commitment, not that you acknowledge there are other options.

Because a man who has value Always has other options. It’s about who he chooses to be with that shows what he cares about

ETA: And honestly it’s better for that, because if a man feels like the woman he is with is his only option, he’s clinging on to her out of desperation and fear, not love. If he knows that the world is his oyster and that he could pluck pretty Polly from the tree, yet doesn’t, it’s because that love and devotion is real, even when times get rough. It is in the storm when our true colors show

Nah, dudes struggle being alone.
They stick it out because they can’t handle not being with a woman.
Even a bs relationship is validation for a man.

Women get bored easier than guys and usually move on before breaking up. The next dude is usually locked and loaded on deck.

Women do much much better with breaking things off than guys do.

It’s a misnomer that women are the needy ones.
Lots of fellas out there who are very insecure and hold on to exes for dear life.

Seen it too often.

Big Difference between dating and marriage though. So much more to lose. And even if you are unhappy, you stick it out. I’ve been there. She had checked out long ago, I was miserable, but I was consigned to my misery because I had made a commitment. I might have just eaten a bullet one day because I was so depressed...because deep down I knew it was over and she didn’t love me anymore, and maybe never did. But I wasn’t going to be the one to end the marriage.

And then she did, and it destroyed me, but it was a kinder cruelty. It set me free and allowed me to make changes, to learn more about who I was, to be free again. She did me a favor and probably saved my life, as much as it hurt at the time.

When you are dating, you have to be able to accept the fact that if they are going to leave, they are going to leave. You can’t live in fear. You have to be confident enough in yourself to know that you can make it through any storm. Because it takes two people that WANT to make it work to make it work.
