Probably the biggest home game for the Wave in the last 10-15 years. Even though its early in the season, beating Houston could mean Tulane has the ability to win the AAC Western division and compete for a conference title. Houston is coming off a 31-24 loss to #19 Washington State and has one of the most athletic QBs in the country. Nola folks - what else do you have going on this Thursday night? Give Yulman Stadium a shot.

Wave 38-31

Houston 34-28. UH seems like they are getting better every week.

I still don't get why Houston is being so hyped. Not just by Tulane fans, but in general. What have they shown this year to be so hyped? They went 8-5 last year, lost their bowl game 70-14, yet get so much benefit of the doubt coming into this year.

They lost to Oklahoma in a not-as-close-as-the-final-score game, beat Prairie View in unimpressive fashion, and then scored a garbage time TD vs. Washington State after Washington State's QB tripped at the goal line to prevent them going up 18 with 2 minutes to go in the game to make it seem like that game was closer than it really was.

I guess it speaks more to the Tulane program that this is such a huge opponent for them.

Yeah beating a SWAC team by only 20 really showing that improvement.

Who’s hyping Houston? It’s a big game for Tulane because it’s on national TV and Tulane has some momentum and it’s a team that Tulane is competing against for the AAC West.

Pullin' for the Wave, but I predict Houston wins 38-24.

Alums and locals really need to show up tonight so there's a full house for national tv.

Crazy as this may sound, I'm wondering how events in Houston might affect how the Cougars play.

I'd like to see the Wave win with McMillan doing well. I was a little surprised to see Tulane favored in this game just because of who they are playing.

I say Tulane 27-17 because of the short-ish week (even though it's a shorter week for TU) and travel for Houston on top of Imelda.
