*The Tigers traditionally wear purple jerseys in home non-conference games other than the home opener.

I hope we keep the white pants and helmets. I wish there was a way to make the gold jerseys cool like the ones we wore against Florida and Norte dame back in the late 90s.

Very interesting since it’s 2nd home non conference. I’d imagine it’s white jerseys to stay with brand.

That’s a good question. I remember we wore white when Washington came in 2012 despite it not being the home opener and it being a non conference home game. Maybe we wear white if it is a power 5 team.

People always misquote the rule. We wear white against power 5 non conference teams at home. Wore white against Washington in 2012 and against Syracuse in 2017.
We will wear white against Texas next year as we should.

2007 Va. tech was the home opener, so we would’ve worn white no matter what

LSU has an all time record of 86-38-3 when wearing the purples (68.9% winning percentage).
That doesn't seem bad for a uniform choice which is cursed. And I believe more than half of the losses came when Archer and Hallman coached the team.

It doesn’t matter what we wear we are still going to kill Vandy. Nothing looks better than our normal uniform, its a classic. I do think as far as alternates go our all whites looked best.

I'm getting kinda old. I believe I recollect vanderbilt's punk arse forcing us (dinardo) to where purple AT HOME in maybe like 96 or 97. Of course Spurrier did it to us too - we ended up wearing the canary yellow at Florida. That one never did look right to me.

Vandy chose to wear white in '96 so LSU broke out those gold jerseys.
