Candace and ti debabte

This is supposedly one of the highlights of the debate, I personally didnt see ti destroying her, all he did was get emotional and yell and talk over her, but maybe yall will see it differently, and the current subject they were debating didn't have anything to do with making anything better for black Americans

Candace was never going to get through to that audience. They would rather believe anything a charismatic rapper says than someone who is extremely well versed in public policy.

I applaud her for not being afraid to debate that venue, but she should choose her battles at little better.

I will never understand why anyone would look to a celebrity for a political opinion.

Read and listen to people who have some qualifications, and then form your own opinion. Retweeting from someone who, because of their status, never hears the word “no” makes you a parrot, not an informed voter.

Because TI makes shitty pop music about treating women like shite so he is obviously a well-rounded individual who we should take seriously.

Here is T.I. being a role model for young black people and rapping about getting a job and becoming a functioning member of society....just kidding. It's a song about selling cocaine.

quote:

Its time to get the trap back jumpin
Get shite back poppin hoe
Show these sucka n-word how it go
Ill show you how to move a lotta blow
N-word say they loud but they lied
So its time to get the trap back jumpin
Get shite back poppin bitch
Ay who dare say I'm not the shite
Ay really who you know as hot as this
Seriously, ill show you how to do this shite

Can't post the rest of the lyrics without a lot of censoring.

The majority of rap music is just plain pathetic. It is nothing but rapping over a beat and reeks of insecurity.

It was made something more than it was -

TI knows little to nothing more than how to be a victim and a racist despite his privilege. Talking over her and yelling wasn't a good look.

1. I have no idea what a “t.i.” might be.

2. If that was a “highlight,” I would hate to see the lowlights.

3.Interrupting another speaker and shouting over her efforts to answer your own question is not “debate.”

4. In fairness, his original question was a valid one (“What era is MAGA trying to replicate?”). He owed it to her and to the audience to allow her the opportunity to answer it.

Moderator, at start of panel:
quote:

The question is ... are we are mature enough here ... to have a conversation ... that they’re never gonna have at MSNBC, CNN or Fox. .... if you love black people, you’ve got to be able to look black people that you disagree with in the eye and talk to them like they are human, instead of yelling, calling names or disrespecting ...
judging by the behavior of t.i., the answer to that question was no.

Yea, it was lame.

There was another part where she went off and made fun of him for just trying to create a "gotcha" moment with his bullshite line. It was pretty great, she was mocking him, and he knew he was wrong, so he asked the crowd to give her a round of applause. It was very clear that he knew he fricked up and at that point was not debating, he was just pandering.

I doubt that more than two or three people here will actually go to YT, find and watch the entirety of that panel discussion, but it was worthwhile ... once you get past the talking over the top of one another.

“Killer Mike“ in particular was an interesting guy to listen to, setting aside that his speech is more laced with profanity than GTHog.

At one point he recommended that everyone in the audience “educate yourselves“ by reading a litany of political voices, including everyone from Farrahkan to Thomas Sowell.

At another point, he berated the audience for booing Candace Owens regarding her discussion of the collapse of the Black family. In particular, he told them to “shut the hell up, because she is not saying anything that Louis Farrakhan has not been saying for 30 years. “ (paraphrased)
