Baton Rouge has a ton of great Greek and Lebanese food options. Why anyone would eat Greek fast food was confusing to me, and it appears no one did.

Have you ever been in there when there’s other customers? Because I haven’t. Place is empty at all times.

Man. These two strip malls right here need to get it together. Piccadilly was open maybe 6 months. Mooyah couldn’t cut it. Halal. I stand by my suggestion they put a Zoe’s Kitchen in the place of Mooyah.

I’ve never heard of Greek fast food. Has anyone ever seen this?

They are having huge problems nationwide.

Many of the stores shutdown without notice, and when news outlets like Eater or others call the corporate offices, they had no idea it was shut down.

Looks like a classic case of a company expanding way too fast and not able to scale it

This is the answer FWIW. They started from a street food cart and basically skipped the brick and mortar restaurant phase to go straight to franchises. They blew up with investment cash but didn't build the corporate infrastructure. I went to the one on Lee at least once a week for take out as it was on the way between my office and house. I remember when all the other LA locations shut down and I asked the manager about it. She didn't even know the other stores were closed. She picked up the phone and called the New Orleans store while I was standing there and was amazed when the number was out of service.

Next time I came in she confidently assured me that "corporate" had told her that the store on Lee was safe and performing well. I had my doubts. Common sense said they weren't going to support a single location in south LA as the only store in the state. Looks like my fears are confirmed.

I go to the one near my office on Jefferson a couple times a month and it's always good and the drive thru is quick and efficient.

My only beef is the quality of their pitas, they are terrible. They taste like a cardboard box.

How much would it cost to have a decent pita.

I don't particularly care for Serops Express. It's not terrible but nowhere close to Albasha and costs about the same as takeout
