Heading to nashville next weekend for the LSU/vandy game.. it's an 11am game so that frees our evening up to hit up a good restaurant. No particular cuisine in mind.. we like most everything. Not really worried about price. I saw Rodizio Grill(Brazilian steakhouse) on a Google search and it looked pretty good. Any must try places in the area ?

Was just there a couple weeks ago. Brunch at Husk was great. We had dinner at an Italian place called Moto, also very good.

Flyte was awesome for a nicer option. Butcher and Bee and Butchertown Hall were also excellent.

Butcher and Bee is great
Peg Leg Porker was a solid BBQ joint

Well you can’t go to Nashville without eating their spicy chicken. Their chicken is to Nashville what our gumbo is to Louisiana and brisket to Texas. I’d make a stop at Hattie B’s.

Pro tip: everything downtown is overpriced.
If you insist on being downtown spend your time wisely by checking out the endless stream of hot women in the gulch and then go to Joey's house of pizza or Peters sushi in Brentwood or Taj off nolensville rd to get great food without the parking hassles and over priced food downtown.

Peters sushi in Brentwood
You are really directing tourists, people who come to "experience" Nashville, to Peter's sushi or Taj? Peter's is out in Brentwood and literally in a strip mall - adjacent to a Five Guys, Office Depot, and Subway.
While Nolensville does have great assortment of ethnic food, again, that's where you're directing the tourists? Unless you are a serious "foodie" and, if so, you aren't coming to Nashville for an LSU game, then don't direct them to Nolensville road. It is largely an eye-sore filled with nothing but ethnic eateries, used tire stores, quick cash loan agencies, pawn shops, and Western Union.

quote:yes. Yes I am. It's the best sushi hands down and it's only a mile or so from the huge LSU tailgate in Crockett park Friday night.

You're basing food quality off location??

I think the foodies on this board would be more pissed if I recommended one of those shitty 4-letter overpriced overrated restaurants downtown.
PS my SiL is the manager at Rose pepper so if you go there tell her you know her brother in law and she will hook you up with the best margaritas.

and here we go:
TOUR OF GALLATIN PIKE
El Feugo
LINK
$3.99 homemade margaritas and great food. only a couple miles from downtown proper. don't blink or you'll pass it.
Inglewood Lounge
LINK
Great after hours place to grab a fancy cocktail that won't cost you $15 like every place downtown and you can relax and play a game of Uno.
Dinos
LINK
Best late night burger around.
Rudie's Sausage & Seafood
LINK
Mitchell's Deli
The Only Coffee Shop You Need
Barista Parlor Germantown
The only time I haven't bitched about a $5 cup of coffee. It will light you up for hours.

Que? Is there a link or facebook thing to this event?
ETA: Just out of curiosity, have you tried El Metate or Taqueria Andrea (Dickerson Pike - close to Trinity intersection)? Just curious about the reviews if so.

i haven't tried either which is odd because (a) we eat taqueria food like 4x a week and (b) my wife used to live 3 blocks away from dickerson/trinity intersection.
i hear really good things about it however.

Last thing, and then I'll shutup, what about El Nopalito (Nolensville Rd
)

honestly the best taqueria is Jalisco in franklin hands down.
Jose and Alma are the owners and she makes the tortillas by hand (they're amazing) and the best creamy green sauce you've ever had.
i highly recommend ordering 3 tacos; a suadero, a carne asada and an el pastor.
just hit up the salsa bar & load them down with onions, cilantro, green sauce & grab some cut up limes to squirt on top. Heaven.
Don't let the facade scare you away

Lockeland Table was the best meal we had while in Nashville.
Posted on 9/12/19 at 8:32 pm to Dtiger19
Lockeland table is legit and id recommend Lazarolli's deli in Germantown for their hand made mozzarella cheese but they only do it on Saturdays and they're usually sold out by noon so that might be tricky to do before the game.
Yep that's it rolled up in Saran wrap
