Make sure to spend a couple days in Chefchaouen. Beautiful city and very relaxing vibe.

She's not 'some New York chef'. Like another poster mentioned, she's more of a food blogger. She is a lawyer by trade and won a season of the Great American Baking Competition.

Good luck. United and SW just canceled our flights there from Houston for Memorial day weekend.

Was just there a couple weeks ago. Brunch at Husk was great. We had dinner at an Italian place called Moto, also very good.

Heading there this weekend for a bachelor party. Half the group renting a cabin in Banff tomorrow and meeting the rest of us in the city Friday. All of our first times, any pro tips?

I ended up choosing the Williams & Sonoma set over the equivalent All-Clad. Thought they had a more comfortable handle.

I really enjoyed The Test Kitchen. It's the more casual sister restaurant of the highly rated Pot Luck Club (often listen on top 50 restaurants in the world). I'd suggest going there for a lunch then checking out the Neighbourgood's Market (farmer's market) in Old Biscuit Mill after.
Aubergine was also very good, a little more fine dining.
If you have time to go to wine country, there will be great scenery and food and drinks as well. I'd suggest getting a driver for that.

Check out the Houston rodeo at NRG stadium.

If your phone is unlocked, will be way cheaper to get a local SIM vs spending $10 a day. I called att and they unlocked my phone remotely.

I went about 4 years ago with a few friends and had a great time. Very friendly locals and delicious food. We did an itinerary very similar to below. This guide was great because it really highlighted a few cities and let you know what cities to skip/spend short time at, like Casablanca as others have mentioned. Chefchaouen was a beautiful hidden gem.
Travel Guide Itinerary
Like NOFOX mentioned, I would add Essaouira while in Marrakech as well.

re: Best place to watch tomorrow in Houston

There's a new place off Washington, Galway Hooker Irish Pub that I've heard is a good spot to watch. Otherwise Bar Munich in midtown or Firkin Phoenix.

I saw the other board already said Richmond Arms. Great location but gets crowded quickly. Bar Munich in midtown often opens early for matches, and they put a schedule on their site. Not 9am start though.

I'm a fan of the salsa at Guadalajara. Lots of cumin. Green salsa at original Ninfas is good too.

Last year I had watched the game at the Sherlock's right off 75. Always had a blast, met friendly people. Almost always had ridiculously great beer specials. They set up the back area to show it on a projection screen.

Who are they playing next weekend? I'm waiting for the CyFalls game. It'll be good to have high school football return.

Picking up my tickets from a coworker tomorrow and heading to Baton Rouge later after work. I sure hope that they say it's ok to "work from home" on Friday.

Thanks. I checked last night and all it had was info on the license plates and the full schedule, nothing about watching party.
When does Big Woodrow's open?
Posted by 3rdCoastTiger on 8/29/08 at 2:55 pm
Guess I'm still planning on going there tomorrow. Might have to change gameplan from beers all day to starting with Bloody Mary's then beers.
But, they'll be open at like 9:30am?
