If Michael Thomas played for anyone else everyone defending this would be calling him a diva and pointing out how stupid this tweet was

Not really...

I dont care what guys do in their spare time. He's not a criminal, he's not a distraction. He just has an opinion you dont like. The same people angry over this are the same ones trying to decipher tweets when its just song lyrics half the time.

I fail to see what the big deal is especially to the upcoming season. This shite means nothing.

This board is fricking absurd. That tweet is tame as can be.

Classic everyone read the OP’s headline and just game in guns blazing without even reading Thomas’ tweet. And half this board is looking for reasons to hate him bc *gasp* turns out he wanted to get paid top dollar to play for the saints.

Hope this board is ready to turn on Kamara this summer.

Well, 5 WRs went ahead of him, so clearly Mayock wasn’t the only one.

“How to hold grudges” by Michael Thomas

This is why athletes BS when they say “I don’t care what people think”.

I don't think guys like Baker or MT would ever say that.

They feed off people doubting them. I love it. They're never fully satisfied so they keep working as hard as they can go get better.

It's 100% the attitude that Saban preaches at Bama and it's incredibly successful.

Attack is a strong word. Seems more like a joke than an ‘attack’ unless you are super thin skinned.

Now, should he be commenting at all? Probably not, but whatever. I don’t love my life based on what athletes are actors or other people say.

However, it makes me appreciate how great of a player and person Colston was for the Saints.

So by tweeting that he’s feeding off his haters

How about just feeding off the doubters and not publicly dragging yourself into alliance with the current biggest shithead in the league

Some players get so salty over their draft board rankings. These scouts and GM’s are mostly just guessing.
For players on their first contracts, the differences in their Draft spot means differences in their wages.

Most of these guys have never been around money so the difference between the pay for a guy drafted ten or twenty slots above them is meaningful to them.

2016 Total Overall Values of WR Contracts

Pick 15 $11.7 Corey Coleman CLE
Pick 21 $10.2 Will Fuller HOU
Pick 22 $10.0 Josh Doctson WAS
Pick 23 $9.9 Laquon Treadwell MIN
Pick 40 $5.9 Sterling Shepard NYG
Pick 47 $5.1 Mike Thomas NOR

How good is MT13 going to be without Brees ? If Carr was his QB I doubt he would have gotten that same pay day.
