Way too early, but besides Jalen Hurts, Tua TonqueAllOverya, Jake Fromm, and Jacob Eason, I like Joe Burrow over anyone else. Including Ehlinger.
Burrows IQ for the game is insane coming from a former 3 star qb. He has a cannon, great vision, very mobile, and extremely protective with the ball. Not very many turnovers.
I may just be way too optimistic, but is it crazy to think Burrow has a chance of being one of the final 5 candidates for the Heisman? If not, why? If so, whats your take on it?

If he continues to throw for 5 td’s per half, well yes of course!

Before GA Southern I would have said no chance. If we keep playing offense like that....

With spectacular numbers, top 5 may be doable. But Heisman will be beteeen Tua, Lawrence, and Hurts. Plus I think a lot of national media is biased against LSU.

If Burrow keeps up good competitive stats and leads LSU to an undefeated season including a road victory at Tuscaloosa then he will be the odds on favorite. If we/he falters then he will just be close but no cigar...

The key here is that I cant remember if the Heisman is after the SECCG. If so, Fromm could do the same thing and it would come out to a potential shootout.

If everyone else is out of the picture and it is down to Tua and Jalen both undefeated at the end then the media will give it to Jalen for his comeback scenario.

I’m pretty sure you just jinxed him.

I bet folks either push for Hurts for the story and the crazy factor of 3 straight years for a QB from one school, or for someone like Jeudy to get away from QBs.

The Heisman award is as much politics as it is a pure football award these days. Joey B lacks the national appeal.

It will take a once-in-a-generation player to win the next heisman for LSU. And he will actually have to get numbers.

Media will be all over the Tua vs. Hurts storyline drama in Heisman race.

That's my guess too. As soon they started counting the virtues of Hurts fumbling because of how tough and competitive he is, I figured he'd get the kid glove treatment all year.

Way too early to talk about this. Let’s just beat Texas.

Welp we will play most of them on way or the other. What Hurts did last night is not sustainable. He will get injured. Btw they gave up 31 points. That is not sustainable either

JB9 while very mobile and not afraid to run does not have the foot speed to ring up the impressive rushing stats and sports show hilite clips that Mayfield or Hurts or Tua can generate.

Pencil Hurts in. He's got very little defensive competition to face.
