Counters, powers, creative use of TEs and FBs letting an elite RB dominate.

Would love to see that with our backs.

You can do that when you constantly have road graders up front

Sounds like the Les Miles run it up the middle no matter what offense to me.

They’re basically what Les Miles offense is supposed to look like

I don't see them moving SEC defenses like they are USF right now....but. I would love a line like Wisconsin.

I think it's part big cornbread-fed beasts + effective blocking schemes.

We have talent but I think the blocking schemes are lack luster, at best. Whether our lineman can't handle the "complexity" or the coaches can't.

QB was missing throws all over the place when i was watching earlier. looks like our squad from 2015. dominate run game works great until you have to pass the ball

And then the first time they have a bad first quarter and have to play catch up they are fricked.

Their OL are very reminiscent of what we used to see with those big 'ol cornfed Nebraska linemen of 30 years ago.

Wisky has no issue recruiting bulldozers, and coaching them up to become NFL Draft picks. Even an archaic Les Miles offense would be very successful behind those baws.

They've had success running that offense for years, but not against elite teams. Even with a good QB, they struggle in big games. They had Russell Wilson in 2011 and still lost 3 games.

That offense is what Bielema tried to bring to Arkansas and that didn't turn out well at all.

So you want to bring back Les’s offense?

When they lose 5 games this season let's revisit this thread.

This crap is not effective enough when you have to play good teams. I told people that Wisconsin has been getting these inflated win records because they play nobody. When you can run the ball well and have good defenses, you can win vs a lot of the mediocre teams, but to beat the good teams with better talent you have to run a modern offense.

I saw you said something about them running on us, but they average 3.2 ypc and only had 134 rushing in 2016. They scored exactly one TD as well.

Wisconsin finally played the big boys in their conference last year and got their asses whooped. Who cares if you can run when you get beat by BYU, lose by 12 to Penn St, 15 to Northwestern, and get blown out by 20+ points vs Michigan and Minnesota
