A lot of brands already do this -- no reason Bluebell shouldn't, either.
Re: people asking 'can't they just lift the film, too?' It's not the film, it's that thin plastic 'seal' you see around the tops of Ben & Jerry's and other brands. So you can visibly see if someone has removed the top.

Right, I was agreeing they should have that but AT LEAST have the film so when someone gets home they will know someone may have licked the top

That’s what I was talking about. Like a shrink wrapped seal around the lid.
In my defense, I’ve only purchased Blue Bell since like the 90’s. So I don’t know how the other manufacturers roll.

You can tell if the top of Blue Bell has been opened by looking at the clear plastic film on the lid. If there is a bubble it has been opened, if it is still air tight it hasn't been opened

Technically yes, and some have, but most frickers are doing it because a buyer can't tell with blue bell and they get off on thinking of someone eating ice cream they already contaminated.
