Maybe add that Texas fans will wear orange? It will be easier to see LSU fans scattered around the stadium if we wear purple. Might be nice for the team to look around and see the support.

Few things to add
West Sixth (6th street west of Nueces St) is completely a different vibe from "Dirty Sixth" (East of Congress). Some really fun bars here, including Rustic Tap.
Unless you are an undergrad, avoid Dirty Sixth (sixth street east of Congress all the way to I-35). It's basically Bourbon Street, very grimy and nothing new for anyone who has been to the French Quarter.
Rainey Street is really fun. Craft Pride has a great selection of craft beers and like OP said, the Via 313 pizza truck is fantastic. Another favorite is Lustre Pearl which is home to the Tommy Want Wingy food truck. Great chicken lollipops.
East Sixth (East of I-35) has cool bars as well like OP said. It is far less crowded and touristy.

Bangers for sausage and beer LINK.
They have a really fun Sunday brunch with a great live jazz band.
eta - They don't have TVs though, so you won't be able to watch football here on Sunday.

Didn't hear back from the brewery listing. I think you're good pasting the list on.

We are planning on eating at Salt Lick Thursday night

I added the breweries to page 2 because my post went over the character limit with it.

Welcome to my hood,
Remember it’s BYOB: ice chests are common.
It’s a big place, but you still might have an hour wait.

I heard there is some big LSU party Friday night at Hotel Van Zant. Any info on that? Gracias.

I have some family staying there, so if all is true we will be finishing up the night there.

This is the first I'm hearing of it. If I can find some info on it I'll add it.

We have been there twice during the day. Neither time we had to wait

Good call. That's a great venue and I'm sure they'll throw a good party.

Pelons Tex-Mex Restaurant is hosting a party. It’s on the LSU Austin Alumni site

For any Tiger RVers, we'll be staying at the Oak Forest RV Resort, about 7 miles east of DKR. It sure would be good to see some purple there. We'll be there from Friday thru Sunday.

Another solid BBQ place that's is just a few miles north of UT campus is Stiles Switch BBQ. It is also conveniently located next to The Yellow Rose, Austin's #1 Gentleman's Club. Whether or not it is actually the best I have not yet been able to test.
