This is kind of a weak argument. You can buy a reusable bag for a dollar.

Yeah - forced to buy a reusable bag for a dollar , winning by every Progressive measurable- no consumer choice allowed, inferior solution, more expensive, less efficient, State coercion- awesome!

The problem with that is if you don't use the reusable bags enough times they are actually worse for the environment than disposable bags. We have a plastic bag ban here and we have to use reusable bags and they usually fall apart before we use them enough times.

eta- Looked it up. You need to use them at least 37 times for them to have a positive impact.
