Joe Burrow is one tough guy.

Sorry if posting here as a Buckeye fan upsets anyone, but most of us are bandwagon Tiger fans rooting for Joe Burrow. Came across this on a Buckeye site and it shows what a tough guy he is. Thought you might be interested.
Many of us will be cheering again for LSU, unless we meet in a Bowl game.

One position that Scarlet and Gray fans did not see on special teams was the quarterback. Because of their importance to the offense, the quarterbacks were exempt of the special teams rule, but that doesn't mean they didn't try. That at least was the case for former signal caller Joe Burrow, who is now the starting quarterback at LSU. Speaking to the local media earlier this month, Burrow was asked about running the ball more in his second season with the Tigers. In his answer, in which he said he'll do whatever the coaches ask of him, Burrow mentioned that he asked Meyer to play on special teams during his time in Columbus. "When I broke my hand at Ohio State, I couldn't really throw so I was begging coach Meyer to put me on kickoff," he said. "I wanted to be on kickoff. They didn't let me, but it was discussed." This is impressive dedication to the team by Burrow. Not only did he want to do whatever he could to help win games, but he was willing to put his already injured hand on the line by running downfield and potentially making tackles on special teams.

I loved when y’all were in Jerry World waiting for your game to start and you cheered when we made the kick to beat Auburn. Showed your fans actually are cheering for Joe.

Joe certainly has the table set in front of him that he wanted when he came here. LSU has the horses to compete with anybody this year... just a matter of actually doing it on the field. Joe has an excellent WR and TE corps to work with and a new "NFL" passing game director so it will be interesting to see how that proves out this season.
And BTW I must give you the obligatory

While I agree he's tough and can be effective as a good runner designed runs can't be too frequent. I want the dude and his hunger healthy for Bama.
We have a ton of legit runners to do the tough stuff. We need Air Jeaux to get the ball to our receivers otherwise they'll never get to show their talent.

With apologies to some great and tough QB’s, Joe is on a trajectory to be my personal favorite LSU QB since Tommy Hodson.

We have the skill players and back end on defense. Remains to be seen what LSU is on the line of scrimmage. If Oline and DLine have not taken big strides we will disappoint. IMO they have. But it is still an open question

Joe has that swagger to him that is just infectious. He may not be the greatest QB ever but he’s pretty good and he plays hard and that makes the players around him play hard. You just can’t help but pull for the guy and want him to be successful.

Admit it..OSU fans have been waiting for an excuse to become LSU fans for a long time. You guys are coming outta the woodwork. And ya...Burrow is a beast.

You won’t get those from me, you appear to be living a dream.

Nothing to do with your thread, but you will appreciate. 2008, LSU just beat OSU for title, I was having a procedure done 3x a week for 5 weeks. My main surgical nurse was an OSU grad. One of the first things she told me was, "Imagine it's an OSU gal taking care of you, and I'm STILL mad! Night night" As the propofol was kicking in, she leaned in and said, "O H-IO" LOL Loved her, had her for 85% of my procedures, she was awesome!

Joe proved how tough he was all last season, but the hit he took in the bowl game was about the most violent hit I’ve seen a QB take. To see him get up and then shred that defense the rest of the game was amazing.
The story you posted does not surprise me at all, I could see him head hunting on kickoff teams even today. Thanks for posting.
