Only if you don't know what the word complain means.

This is about as annoying as people who have quotes in their sig lines on professional emails. I don't need some terrible inspirational quote when talking with Karen from Accounting.

My last boss made us do this, every few months he would have another one & we would have to change it.
I actually had a lot of people reply just because they liked the quote.

Other thing people are signing off with in emails and in person is “Cheers”

I hate it. It’s like some elitist bullshite. I hear it a lot from east coast folks, mostly tech people

I get these from our folks in the Asia offices. I always respond with, "Doing well" and answering their questions and moving on.

This is not the kind of stuff that I let bother me.

Yeah, people being polite in an email pisses me off too.

Haha.
Email etiquette is a weird thing.

That annoys me too. Not enough to ruin my day or even my minute, but maybe 2 seconds worth of irate.

I hate "Thank you for your note" as a response.
Also hate when people start with "Dear [name]". It's an email, not a 19th century letter.

And signature blocks that go beyond name, title, basic contact info.

Emails really should be direct and to the point, without being rude.

Regards,

Tigahbruh

This is almost as annoying as the ubiquitous “Of Course!” millennials use 80x per day.

Put two spaces after a period and they get enraged too.

I used to start my emails with a cordial salutation. Now I just say “What’s kickin’ Dick-licker”

Good idea. Let's table this for now and reconnect when we have some out of the box ideas.

That;s not an uncommon phrase in all sorts of correspondence. It does seem a little archaic, however.
