Totally agree. The authorities have reviewed the videos of the hallway at the time that this occurred. Release the information that noone entered his cell, and I personally will be satisfied. Wait 6 months to release that information? I will not be satisfied.
Let me ask you, if they are releasing information on the autopsy, why not release information about the surveillance of the cellblock that night/morning?

The Clinton’s are getting hands on.

Not sure him dying to allow others to get away with the same crimes is comforting.
It's more comforting than the thought that his previous actions were so heinous and incriminating to people with influence that they could have him killed in a secure facility with no consequences.

they previously reported the 6ft tall man knelt down to strangle himself on the 5ft bunk bed
How many times does it have to be repeated that this is a common, easy and painless way for people to commit suicide?
People often do it using a door knob. They kneel down and soon pass out from lack of oxygen, and in about 6-7 minutes they're dead.

They aren't. These are unconfirmed rumors from 'people familiar with the autopsy'

Someone so powerful they can kill you, or someone so powerful you know you need to kill yourself before they get there.
Degrees of fricked up either way.

Fair enough. When they do officially release the autopsy results, which I imagine will be this week, I hope they will release other details such as the confirmation that noone entered his cell and murdered him. I don't think that's asking too much, do you?
Posted on 8/14/19 at 11:47 pm to fightin tigers
The world will likely never know.
Posted on 8/14/19 at 11:48 pm to vuvuzela
I think if you need that level of confirmation then you won't be satisfied.
If someone did use their influence to get in and kill him then they covered their bases by getting someone to get up there and lie to the public.

That's definitely true. Like Hemp Head said, we'll probably never know. Unless they provide evidence confirming the suicide I'll always have questions and doubts about this one. I guess on a much smaller scale this is how people felt about Oswald's murder after the Kennedy assassination. Which also was a bit suspect.

I definitely think there are people who possess the power to pull off killing him. Will always have the question of what really happened.
Just makes the most sense to me that he offed himself rather than deal with what his life was about to become.

I did find this quote interesting:
1 out of 20.
quote:
In a larger study of suicidal hangings of young-adults and middle-aged people in India, conducted from 2010 to 2013, hyoid damage was found in just 16 of 264 cases, or 6 per cent. The study addressed the discrepancies in academic reviews, saying wide variations in findings of hyoid breaks are "possibly due to factors like age of the victim, weight of the victim, type of suspension and height of suspension".
1 out of 20.

Confused on something here... was he on suicide watch or not? Ive seen different things.. I thought if you were on suicide watch that your cell was bare of anything, including sheets?
Posted on 8/15/19 at 12:25 am to Mountaineerfan7
He was not on suicide watch.
He actually had a cell mate that was mysteriously moved a few hours before he was “suicided”.

Wonder how many of that 6% were 6 foot tall people suspended from a 5 foot bunk bed?

Why was it mysterious?

Why was it mysterious?
Because it was the middle of the night and nobody knows why he was transferred.
Not knowing “why” is the actual definition of mysterious.

They have released the findings from an official source... but likely can't release the actual video until they decide if charges are to be brought against anyone at the MCC for their actions/inactions.
quote:
A review of surveillance camera footage from inside the Metropolitan Correction Center (MCC) in New York showed that two guards who were supposed to check on Jeffery Epstein every 30 minutes never made their appointed rounds in the hours when the millionaire sex offender died in his cell by apparent suicide, sources familiar with the investigation confirmed to ABC News.
The MCC staff members, who have been placed on temporary leave, are suspected of falsifying log entries to show they made the proper checks on Epstein and other inmates in the Special Housing Unit at the federal lockup in Manhattan, but those log entries have been contradicted by the surveillance footage, the sources said.
The two staff members, who have not been publicly identified, have yet to be interviewed by agents from Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) or the U.S. Office of Inspector General (OIG), the two agencies conducting investigations into the circumstances of Epstein's death, sources told ABC News.

So the jail/prison doesn't know why or they haven't said why?
Or are these additional 'people familiar with the situation'
The cellmate could have been removed to go to court the next day.
