Why would any young lady sign her own death warrant. Even a clueless bimbo knows about Clintoncide

This is likely what happened. He should have been on suicide watch, anyone else would have been.

I think he was told to off himself or something bad would happen to his family. Then guards were paid to look the other way despite suicide watch.

And once again, NOTHING will happen to any of them.

How many times does it have to be repeated that this is a common, easy and painless way for people to commit suicide?

You don’t break your neck on that short of a drop. There wouldn’t be enough force to break it. Furthermore, if he had a broken neck beforehand, there is a 0% chance that he was able to carry out this act alone.

Not when you’re taller than what you’re anchoring the other end of your rope or in this case, bedsheet, to. Depending on how tall one is and how much one weighs, the drop has to be somewhere from 5-9 feet. And if what we’re reading about how his bunk was only 5 ft. in height, then I guess technically it is possible, but unlikely.

Well then explain how he broke his neck.

standing on bed and falls forward

plenty of force to break a fragile neck bone, especially for an elderly person

I guess so, but if that’s the case I would like to know how he was laying when they found him. It’s still dubious in my mind that he could’ve broken his neck by the hanging alone.

sure

although its still possible that he could have seized or the force could have yanked his body in weird positions

it shouldn't be

him not being checked on and his roommate being moved is dubious

his neck bone being broken isn't

I think a lot of y’all are visualizing a hanging like in a western where there is a free fall and a sudden stop. That isn’t how these prison hangings happen. They tie a sheet or pants or whatnot around their neck and a bedpost or cell bar and put their back to the object. They then kneel down and lean their body weight away from the object causing the tied material to begin to cut off their air/blood flow. They lean into it until they pass out and then the collapsing body weight really puts on the pressure and finishes the job. There isn’t a violent “snap” at any point.

ETA. Saw a demonstration of this on a documentary. I am not into prison hanging or anything.

He was killed, guards were paid off. A lot of powerful people wanted him dead before trial

How to break a neck via hanging;

quote:

In the long drop, those planning the execution calculate the drop distance required to break the subject's neck based on his or her weight, height and build. They typically aim to get the body moving quickly enough after the trap door opens to produce between 1,000 and 1,250 foot-pounds of torque on the neck when the noose jerks tight. This distance can be anywhere from 5 to 9 feet (1.5 to 2.7 meters).

Note, that is with a rope (not a bedsheet) and the knot placed under the ear of the subject.

Suicide hangings generally do not break the neck. They asphyxiate themselves.

There can be more than one thing that is questionable in this case.

My thing is with that short of a fall, unless he made sure he kept his legs tucked the entire time, which is doubtful because the force would have jarred them from being tucked, to ensure his feet didn’t touch the ground before his neck broke/he was strangled by the sheet.
