So my biggest takeaway is guys don’t wear long white socks anymore? I didn’t know that. Damn. Do guys in their late 30s and 40s wear ankle socks now also?

You inspired me to do a 5k. I signed up for one on Nov 2nd. I haven’t run since high school (I’m 32), and the only physical activity I do is walk 9 holes of golf every other week or so and play in a kickball league. I have a desk job so I do A LOT of sitting.
I went for my first run yesterday, was able to jog almost 6 minutes straight, a lot of it uphill, before having to walk. I was dying after that first 6 minute jog. I have a lot of work to do. My goal is to beat your 27.40 time. Thanks for the inspiration!
