Nick Saban lying his arse off about leaving the Dolphins to coach Bama showed what a piece of shite he is. Not to mention talking down to grown NFL players like they're teenagers and ripping assistant coaches on national tv like a lunatic. Great coach, awful human being.

Bobby Petrino is also a first class douche.

I love that after Dave Bliss was complicit in trying to convince people that a dead young man was a drug dealer, he was brought in as a guest speaker at baptist churches in Texas.

Chuck Mangino was notorious at Kansas for being an absolute grade a a-hole terror. He actually had them good and still got fired.

I recall in the 90s some commentator asking a bunch of high profile who they would NOT let their child play for: Jackie Sherill was a common pick.

Including Jerry Sandusky on this list honestly minimizes his crimes.

That guy is in a class of his own in the worst all of US criminals not merely football coaches.

I've always thought Gary Patterson was a piece of shite after this 2010 incident:
quote:

TCU coach Gary Patterson allegedly berated the team's doctor when running back Ed Wesley was not allowed to re-enter a game against SMU on Sept. 24 due to a concussion, according to American Medical News. Wesley took a shot from SMU safety Chris Banjo and temporarily lost consciousness in the Sept. 24 contest.

"Any loss of consciousness is automatically considered a concussion," TCU team doctor Samuel J. Haraldson told the publication. "He had an unsteady gait and a few memory problems. Then five or six plays later, I literally was verbally accosted by the coach, screaming at me insanely at the top of his lungs that he doesn't think [Wesley] has a concussion and what right do I have to hold him out."

TCU went on to win the game, 41-24, and Haraldson said Patterson later offered a "pseudo-apology" for his actions. In a Sept. 26 article from ESPN Dallas, Patterson commented on Wesley's condition. "He's fine. As far as I'm concerned he was fine 10 minutes after he got hurt," Patterson said. "But, it was good that we protected him."

In the post-game press conference, when he had time to reflect without the pressure of the game going on, Patterson still maintained that the player was fine and should have been able to go back into the game.

Coaches like Patterson are why the NCAA mandated that only the team doctor can clear a player to return to the field after they've shown any concussion symptoms (although in retrospect this is a medical decision that should have always been in the hands of the doctor).
