Looking at sprayers from Stihl, Chapin and Jacto. Anyone have experience with any of these?

No experience with those but I have a 3 gallon Solo backpack prayer I’m pleased with.

The stihl is really solid I’ve seen them last several years while living in the back of trucks and being used and abused

Have a chap in, works like a dream and is easy to use

I have been using Solo and they are decent. Chapin sucks

There’s been one living in the back of one our work trucks for at least 3 years and it’s still holding up great

I have the Stihl SR 450 backpack blower/sprayer. Cost about 750. Had it for three years. Fires up like a champ, runs like a top.
The meter system has six settings for amount of chemical you want to put out. Also has thumb control shutoff valve if you need to stop spraying but leave the blower running. Comes with several directional vents to attach to the blower end if you want to target your spray a little more precisely.
It is a bit heavy when loaded, but I fill the tank with the sprayer sitting on the tailgate of the pickup then put my arms through. It’s kind of a challenge to pick it up off the ground fully loaded.
The SR 200 is a bit smaller and less expensive, and is probably all you’d need if you’re just spraying around the house and yard. In hindsight, I should have gone for the SR 200, the 450 is overkill for what I’m doing with it. But it sure works great.
Hope this helps.

I've had this one for more than a year and am happy with it. 4 gallon battery powered, the battery lasts a long time.

I have 4 gallon one from Harbor Freight. It’s a piece of shite.

I have the My 4 Sons backpack sprayer. Once you go battery operated, it’s hard to go back to manual pump and spray.

Field king max from Amazon, it's alright.

Try Hi-yield if you can find one. The Chapin will give up on you as well as the Solo (it is better) if you use them like my crew does. So far so good on the Hi-yield.

I second this. The one from Harbor Freight is garbage

As of this post, Solo has the best ratio of positive/negative reviews, so I think I'll go in that direction. This is not for daily use, but I do spray an acre or so for weeds and two houses for bugs, so the direct pumping action and large reservoir are very appealing.
Thanks for all the feedback.
