What’s your highs and lows from PS game 1? Here’s mine

Highs:
- Murray looks like he’s going to be a great fit. Catches the ball well and gets up field quick. Don’t think there will be a drop off with him.
- Kamara looks like Kamara.
- Bridgewater looks really good and a lot more comfortable in the offense. Accurate and goes through the progression easily.
- WR will have some tough cuts. Grayson looked really good in both the return game and as a WR. Biggest surprise for me was #11 Deonte Harris. Looked like a stud in the return game. Lil Jordan also played great. (Wish we could have seen Butler)
- McCoy looks to be stout other than the 1 sack he gave up
- Entire line played well IMO.
- Washington looked good as the 3rd RB. Physical back and hits the hole hard.
- Kaden Ellis- didn’t have a ton of splash plays but I thought he was solid and played a good game.

Lows:
- Davenport looked average at best. We are desperate for him to take a big jump this year. He has to get another pass rushing move other than the bull rush.
- Pass rush is a huge concern and after this game I am even more concerned. Someone other then Cam will have to get pressure this year.
- Secondary as a whole looked like shite. PRob looking like a cut IMO, but PJ didn’t look much better. Can’t rely on either one of those playing outside.
- Taysom is not an NFL QB. He hasn’t progressed at all as passer. Stares down WRs and is quick to tuck and run it even though he is great at that. Don’t like the hits he is taking in a preseason as well.
- Dan Arnold has to be done. You can not be a pass catching TE and not reliable catching the ball.
- Tre’Quan Smith didn’t impress and had a drop. He better step up bc there is a lot of WRs looking to make the roster.
- Jt Gray, how he made the team last year I am still confused.

Disagree on Arnold. Who takes his place? He’s going to make it.

Robinson was the best slot cb in the nfl in 2017. He’s not getting cut for one bad play in preseason.

Rodgers is a jag

Not impressed with the dL

I don’t think the 3rd TE is on the roster. Arnold continues to have plays that lose games. I think they find a Vet after the cuts.

Smith had 1 drop and then made up for it with a very difficult catch for more yardage.

Your assessment of Davenport is accurate. His development is crucial to the success of this team.

My assessment is that it’s 1 preseason game.

I still think it's too early to say whether or not Taysom is an NFL quarterback. He usually takes a quarter to settle down when he gets playing time, but he actually plays pretty well after he settles.

I predicted 8 sacks for him this year. He looks better, not as baby fat as last year.

The technique comes with time, which I don't expect him to make a leap until next year. He's gonna pick it up the 2nd half though

He’s not an NFL QB.

Hell of an athlete and gadget player though. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

My biggest takeaway is the Vikings made offense look easy.

We made offense look difficult. Not sure if that’s on our offense or our defense. But they had open plays and made them. We didn’t have open plays and had to fight for what we got.

McCoy didn't give up a sack, that was the left guard (Clapp) that let his guy get by him.

I don’t think Taysom gets enough practice at QB to play QB effectively. QB position requires a ton of practice and nuance, and he’s only practicing it part time at most. I think throw him out there in the preseason let him enjoy doing it, but when it comes time for the real season, let him be the X factor jack of all trades

My biggest takeaway from the game last night was that Bridgewater will be the next starter, maybe as soon as 2020. He looks ready, and it's pretty clear that the team (and Brees) told him something to get him to stay.

After that,
return guys look like an upgrade over last year. Would have liked to have seen a few punt returns.

Lil'Jordan or whatever his name is, looks like a keeper. Big target and doesn't go down immediately. I don't care about his 40, if he can make 3-4 yds after contact in this offense, he's going to be targeted a LOT. Drew can hit anyone for a 2 yd game all day, and if he makes that 2nd and 4 instead of 2nd and 8, we win a ton of games.

Aside from the 2 minute offense, I watched Teddy look lost and indecisive in the pocket... maybe just the backup WR’s not getting separation as well.
