re: Ed Orgeron meddles with the offense?

I'm no offensive coordinator, but why would it take 7 or 8 weeks to install one offense while already having a different offense installed? Why would a new QB that's used to running the RPO need that much time to learn that offense? Also, if you have young receivers, wouldn't it be easier to just install the offense Ensminger wanted from the beginning? The point at which Burrow got here doesn't seem to make a difference to me in this sense. Of course, I could be completely wrong.

Huh?
who says it takes that long to install? It takes a bit to be proficient. We saw elements of RPOs in the third game of the season.
Burrow wasn't even announced QB until the second week of camp.

Or making the playoffs. The 3rd year is the show me year. So then 2 more years would complete the 3 years to make the playoffs. I get that Orgeron was handed a great situation, but I still believe that he gets 2 years to build the team he wants and his 3rd year the team should be very competitive in the West and in the playoff discussion in December.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but it would seem like you're talking about this year, right? This is Year 3.
If so, I actually agree. By now he's got enough of his guys, his coaches, whatever scheme he's calling "his" in place to own the results for this year on his own. If we are not right there nipping at BAMA's heels, and thus in great shape to claim an SECW crown, then we've failed to do what we set out to do, which was replace Miles with a guy who could do better than him.
But I don;t think we should be talking about some 5 year plan at LSU to be in a position to win just our division...even if it IS the toughest division in all of college football. If Orgeron has not yet claimed an SECW crown after his fifth full year as head coach, and he gets a 6th...then we've got severe leadership problems and a fan base that has decided it's happy with anything.

Ensminger said they were going to the RPO in January of 2018. That's all it seems like they would have been practicing all off season and even as soon as Burrow got here. I forgot what day he got here, but he committed on May 18th.

It appeared to me the offense progressively changed over the course of the season. Looked natural to me. It was pretty conservative vs rentawins, no doubt but I'm not reading much into that
But the fable you've created works counter to the fears y'all have about the man. Isn't he the one who is supposed to be the villain who slows down the offense? Not the guy who gets talked into opening it up?

when they have to be disingenuous about how they frame the argument, and say "one loss" as opposed to 11 wins...because they know that the 12 game schedule has been around for less than 20 years..

Oh yeah bro. It's a huge conspiracy. "They" are some wise little bastards

You could say that about most all coaches. None of them just let their assistants do whatever the hell they want.

So why does everyone compare what O has done to Miles?????
because when you fire a coach, unless it's for off the field things, the administration is saying," what you're producing isnt good enough".
therefore the next coach is hired with the hopes of doing better than what got the last coach fired.
in our situation, it seems like the same results that ,validly got miles fired, is being labeled a success under O.

I don't get what you're saying here at all. Fables and villains, this is why so many others have issues having rational discussions with you. It makes perfect sense that IF Oregeon saw that the conservative route wasn't working and he and Ensminger had been having discussions about opening it up, perhaps O turned a corner and that's when he decided to go get Brady and it's my hope that he and Ensminger are now gonna be able to open it up since Orgeron has seen how good it works.
I don't think he's a villain. That's utterly ridiculous. I have a couple, maybe 3 reasons for hesitation this year and I think he's done a good job so far outside of producing a great offense.

Respectfully, what is it you do/did for a living? Do you personally limit your opinions to those things in which you yourself were considered a professional expert?

The pattern you fear is Orgeron stepping in during the season when things aren't going well, but you're claiming the reverse happened?
Ok, maybe myth was too harsh, "Random idea" soundsbetter.
You're claiming you think Orgeron changed it, then Ensminger talked him out of it? There's nothing In his past to suggest any pattern of the like. Now if we got more conservative as the year went on that would make more sense.
I think y'all fear abogey man and are desperately trying to fit circumstances into your ideas

I will say this....... I’ve been more involved with football at a larger level than you......: plus even before that I knew more than you.... go play in the sandbox.....

No, I'm hoping that Orgeron has learned that he doesn't know the offensive of the ball that well and is going to let Ensminger and Brady do what they do. Then, if there is a problem that he sees that he tells them to fix it and not how to fix it.

You don't know me, so how on earth could you possibly know this?
Either way...feel free to answer my question. Do you limit your critiques to only those things in which you yourself were considered professionally an expert?
