Put up, or shut up. Burrow breaks Davey's single season passing yardage?

Yes but only because his record doesn’t include his 444 yard bowl game.

The fact that we know how much he passes for and don’t retroactively add it blows my fricking mind.

If you include all 13 games I would Say it would be very impressive to break that record. But not impossible!

We’ve seen that O will go all out to get his players records, so it’s definitely possible.

He needs to average about 255 a game to break it, and that might be just a bit too high. I think if it was total yards he’d do it, but he might top out at 3,200 passing.

The Alabama game pretty much locked up that Ro would hold that record for a very long time.

Will be fun either way. Both Tiger legends

If what they say about the offense is true, and I’m buying it at this point, I say yes he breaks the record.

Most likely yes in Brady’s system, with the great skill position players...and the extra regular season game.

Whether Brady previously had a defined system or not, it’s pretty hard to deny that the system we use this year will be Brady’s at least in part.

I’d like to say yes, but let’s be honest 255ypg against SEC defenses seems a little out of reach.

It will be bittersweet. I have a deep-seeded affection for Ro.

Nah

And we don’t need him to put up those kinds of numbers to have an awesome season personally or for the offense on the whole to drastically improve. If we are to believe that the “new” offense will emphasize more quick, short to intermediate passes I’d think we will see his completion percentage and overall efficiency improve far more than raw total passing yards will. If he puts up 3,500 plus passing yards, great... but that’s not what I’m looking for, personally. I want to see improved efficiency and a passing game that can complement and set up a strong running game.
