Sack record is going down. GIF below is very entertaining, but shows Chaisson working on technical aspects of maximizing leverage, footwork, and how to use his hands.
quote:

“You do the math,” Chaisson told reporters Saturday in the first interview session of his college career. “Take like 40-45 plays a game, all I need is one-and-a-half sacks each game. That’s 18 sacks, and that’s a record right there.”

All behold the Sultan of Swat!

I know nothing about pass rushing technique, apparently keeping your elbows tucked is important, but that looks like a gay guy in a slap fight.

It’s keeping the OLineman from grabbing his shoulder pads at his chest.

That dude is totally not trying to block him.

That's not going to happen in games.

Lol is he says it like he won’t even break a sweat breaking the record. I hope he gets 30.

A lot of this is based on the pass rushing "swim move". Check out this link for very insightful story on intricacies of the pass rush.
LINK
quote:

The Swim move is very effective and easier to execute for taller players, but the caveat is that the pass rusher has to expose his chest for this move to work, so a pass rusher must stick to his fundamentals, in order to not get eliminated from the play:

1). The pass rusher must explode low to high and then clear the hands of the offensive lineman, with a chop or a swipe. This mitigates the risk of the lineman gaining the chest that will be exposed as the rep progresses.

2). The pass rusher must get hip to hip with the lineman. This helps maintain the half-man relationship and gives the pass rusher several options, while setting up the rest of the move.

3). The pass rusher has to grab, pull, or violently chop/club the swim side shoulder of the lineman. This, along with the clearing of the hands, will get the lineman off balance and set-up the final portion of the move.

4). Bringing the opposite side arm over the top of the lineman and punching through and downward.

What’s the over/under on hold many holding calls against him this year?

So , how does he do against Ga. Southern as a triple option run team?
Maybe some good TFL no.s but no Sacks?
Does he have the QB?
Curious, if those who know his responsibility in this offense could advise.

Lots. But refs will of course ignore them in Bama game.

his responsibility would vary depending on the the offensive formation he faces and various other circumstances

As silly as it looks, this is a technique that is being drilled into him by coaches that definitely know a lot more about leverage and technique than we do. I suspect it will be forgotten the first time he puts a QB on his back.

KC has put on a significant mass of solid muscle. He was lean, strong and quick looking when he first signed but he's now got the appearance of a legitimate NFL pass rush specialist.

And other guys on defense like Divinity, Phillips and Queen look much more fitting for their roles now as well. Say what you will about them, but our S&C staff has really got these guys putting in work as well.
