For me and most rational people who can see leadership realize Joe is the epitome of who you want at the helm on a Championship run. I’ve done my best to not get all lathered up thinking of this season but it is what it is I’m sold and ready. Other guys who I’ve seen personally since being a fan who I felt that the team rallied around and played better due to the leadership they possessed . Now not all won championships but guys I felt had that it that I mentioned. Guys that saw others play or have other opinions please add your thoughts .

1) Herb T
2) Mauck
3) Russel
4) Flynn
5) Joe

I go back but Alan Risher had great confidence and it showed on the field.

Good on you for the edit, OP. I’m sure that was an autocorrect error. Cheers

I assume auto correct messed up his post. I can’t see anyone saying Rohan didn’t play with that confidence.

I mean completely missed on my list when thinking of guys. He was kind of a chucklehead the time I met him but definitely had the “It”

I like your list. Rohan seemed to have the “it” factor. That man had some moxie. If I remember correctly we may have been getting beat by the Vols and Rohan came out and started the second half and you could tell the team was fired up about it. Or maybe that was a game they plugged him in to start when previously he was the 2nd string QB. If you could gamble on your cell phone like you can now I would have bet a dime on the 2nd half or game. You just could tell the players were not going to lose and were jacked up to right the ship.

I also watched in person up in Tuscaloosa Rohan and Reed carve up Alabama. It was glorious. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two individual players just kick Bama’s teeth in like that. Even the Bama fans marveled at what they saw go down.

All of those you cited displayed the "it factor."

And surely, that is true for the likes of Bert Jones, Tommy Hodson, Herb Tyler and Alan Risher.

Jeff Wickersham was very good as well. And for those older fans who recall him, surely the Bald Eagle, Y.A. Title, already in the NFL Hall of Fame, had the "it" factor in his day.
