re: Since Mayor Pete loves quoting scriptures, what's the chance he quotes this one?

You don’t seem too interested in finding out who Paul was talking about and why. I understand. A lot of people are really comfortable with their modern mainstream misinterpretation of the passage.
I don't need to know who they were or where they lived,
I do know why they were talked about, and that's what I showed you.
I don't subscribe to mainstream or modern interpretations or misinterpretations.
If you want to really know, you'd ask. But apparently you don't.

Do you ever look at someone's car or house, and wish that it was yours?
How can you prevent those feelings, IF you wanted to?

So if it doesn't fit your agenda you refuse to listen to it. Sad.

You look at it as a "gotcha" moment when we can't find wisdom on the topic of homosexuality from a book written by iron age savages who scratched their heads and wondered where the sun went at night?
I'm an anti-theist, but I am more familiar with the bible than the average "christian", and I'm convinced that if I'm wrong and some or all of the supernatural aspects of the bible are actually true,
everyone that votes for Trump for president the second time, a man who has lived his life as the human embodiment of the anti-christ,
will certainly not see the kingdom of heaven.

Actually it's not mine. God's condemnation of homosexuality has been understood and taught throughout church history. Only recently when a wave of heretics wanting to tickle everyone's ears entered the church and are now trying to gaslight others with revisionists history. And you are doing your part.

Just the opposite. Again, gaslighting.

How noble of you.

The condemnation of Adultry was worse and spoke more of yet you choose to harp on homosexuality. Is it because you have committed adultery?

God’s or sinful men’s “interpretations”?

When did I ever pretend that adultery was not sinful?

Do you have any secret revelations from God that didn't come from men?
But then, your revelation would also be coming from a sinful man.

For starters, the word didn’t appear in any translation until 1946.
Secondly, Paul had no word in his contemporaneous language for “homosexuality.”
Thirdly, Paul had no understanding of the existence of homosexual sexual attraction (virtually nobody back then did).
The idea that Romans 1 is an example of God universally condemning homosexuality is the result of a gross misinterpretation of the very words and overall message of the passage, and an incredibly stupid one to fall for, at that. One has to have extremely poor reading comprehension or a bias against homosexuals to take from Romans 1 such a disgusting message. The fact that so many Christians interpret it that way shows that too many Christians have an unhealthy relationship with sex that has perverted them.

Just curious as to why you're not speaking out on that and concentrating on homosexuality? Homosexuals are born gay so maybe your arguement should be with GOD for making Gays. Homosexuality has also been documented in 100's of animal species so we know its not a choice plus there has been biological differences found in homosexuals versus hetrosexuals.
