re: Since Mayor Pete loves quoting scriptures, what's the chance he quotes this one?

The condemnation of Adultry was worse and spoke more of yet you choose to harp on homosexuality. Is it because you have committed adultery?
You are missing or ignoring the point of the conversation. Pete is using bible scriptures to further his agenda.
Is Trump?
Like Hillary used 1/2 of a scripture to promote open borders "Allow the children to come"
Yet she ignored the rest "unto me" as in Christ. Not America.
Why? Are they too old to abort?

Real nice post, but I’m not here to have a God-off.

It’s almost like you don’t understand the difference between Old and New Testament and what the spilling of Christ’s blood is supposed to represent.
Kind of sad when an agnostic has to explain to you your own religion.

For starters, the word didn’t appear in any translation until 1946. Secondly, Paul had no word in his contemporaneous language for “homosexuality.” Thirdly, Paul had no understanding of the existence of homosexual sexual attraction (virtually nobody back then did).
Are you going to pretend that the subject of homosexuality is not widely discussed and covered in the Old Testament? And that Paul, a Jewish convert and scholar would not have a great understanding of those teachings?

I'm pretty sure most "christians" really don't have anymore faith than I do,
they're just a little more afraid of death than I am, and a lot more susceptible to peer pressure.
Trump is an obvious atheist. Christians voted an atheist into office.
A man who couldn't even make a reasonable attempt at faking it, quoting from his favorite book in the bible,
two Corinthians.
Anyone who has been to church more than three times in their entire life know it's pronounced 2nd Corinthians.
Yet you "christians" voted an atheist into office anyway.
You guys are a lot more confident in your eternal soul than I am. I think you've screwed yourselves.

Just curious as to why you're not speaking out on that and concentrating on homosexuality?
Because my OP is about Mayor Pete, the homosexual hypocrite

Homosexuality has been your crusade for years (for whatever reason that may be).

I'm quite familiar with the different covenants and their meanings. What does this have to do with Mayor Pete's hypocrisy?

The conversation morphed into morr than Pete due to in individual deciding to use insults instead of discussion.

What is Mayor Pete hypocritical about?

So why use insults instead of discussion? What your doing , using scriptures, is no better than what Pete did.
Funny how you switched back to Pete when you couldnt debate others words that showed you using scriptures out of context.

A large portion of the New Testament is dedicated to sexuality and sexual sin and how Christians should be sexually pure. How is this a fetish?

Unless a man is born again, he shall not see the kingdom of heaven.
Seems pretty plain.
That passage alone and clipped...but the true greatness of the text is the ambiguity and numerous conflicts...it allowed western intellectuals to transition away from the religious barbarism of our past...it distinguishes Christianity from Islam.

Apparently unless you quote the entire bible in full, you’re being a hypocrite lol

The idea that Romans 1 is an example of God universally condemning homosexuality is the result of a gross misinterpretation of the very words and overall message of the passage, and an incredibly stupid one to fall for, at that. One has to have extremely poor reading comprehension or a bias against homosexuals to take from Romans 1 such a disgusting message. The fact that so many Christians interpret it that way shows that too many Christians have an unhealthy relationship with sex that has perverted them.
First
If you are going to disbelieve because of the lack of a particular word then you just don't want to believe. And I've heard enough from you to know this is probably the case.
Second
I guess you are using point one as a second point.
Third
You are wrong. If you cannot understand the scripture then you need to finish school.
There is no room for honest interpretation, it means what it says.
Oh, my Bible was printed in 1611 and this is what it says.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. ....... God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Are you sexually pure. Have you ever looked at women with lust? Using the Bible to thrash others is hypocritical when you're just as sinful.
Pete should have never open the scriptures door. Just another sign that he doesn't have what it takes to lead this country.

you Bible beaters really are the worst type of people. I’ve yet to find one to intelligently tell me why homosexuality is bad and affects their lives, aside from what some book says. Grow up.
