Arkansas Smallmouth

Wife and I are planning to go to Fayetteville to watch the Auburn/Arky game this Sept. We'd love to fish some small rivers there for smallmouth. Plan on taking that week off and driving out there.
Any recommendations on rivers and guides/outfitters? We can bring some gear, but won't be dragging a canoe.
Thanks,
ETA: Found this outfitter. Anyone heard of them? Southfork Resort

I live in NWA. If here is water you should fish the Kings River. Spinning gear, finesse worms or small creature baits. Call Ernie at akings River Outfitters.

Have you researched the Buffalo River?

Yep, Buffalo is pretty famous for smallmouth.

I've done the southfork a million times, family has about 1/2 mile of river frontage. Good smallmouth but kings river, crooked creek or buffalo would be my suggestions in that order. Really a chance to catch a monster there.

Typically I’d be skeptical about river levels in September on the Buffalo, but this year might be just fine.
I’m a fan of Crooked Creek. You might look into a combo Crooked Creek / White River trip and catch trout as well.
It’s a bit of a drive, but you could use White Buffalo Resort, rent a boat and hit a section of the Buffalo, the White, and the junction of Crooked Creek in the same two days.
The Kings River reco is good and a short drive.

Sorry. The Auburn/Arkansas game is Oct 19th, so we will be going that week.
It looks like I've narrowed it down to two: King's River Outfitters and White Buffalo Resort. White Buffalo has their own guide service that provides a full day trip at $350 for the Buffalo with another $50 for a shore lunch plus guide tips. King's River recommended two guides. Only one had a website: Brooks River Guide. Not sure about rates yet, but the trip would be the King's River.
