I wouldn’t doubt they throw up a single when they release the entire catalog digitally on Friday.
Would make sense to put it all up at once.

It's not really hard to understand why Tool didn't want their albums on digital. There is definitely something about the experience that's lost when you have that easy and cheap access to switch to and from artist to artist album to album. It's a big decision to commit to it, especially for a band thats been around since 1990 and clearly cares about their music more than money. You can't take that decision back.
The way tool operates is that all 4 of them have to sign off on huge decisions like that. MJK obviously doesn't care because all of his other shite is on spotify.

Maynard specifically said they tried that excuse before, then someone said "you mean like you play them out of context at your live shows" and he laughed it off.
It was really about the 4 guys being a committee and no one really discussed doing it in detail. I truly believe that. They don't care, it's not like streaming is a pile of money. They are selling out shows and this album is going to sell like hot cakes. They just didn't need streaming. They never were really one to jump on fads.

Called it, I had a feeling if they were going live on streaming tomorrow they would put up preorder info.

I've seen no official announcement on this anywhere regarding the single. Where does this come from?

I mean, I like it, but Alex Grey just seems to keep recycling art. How many variations of eye spirals is he going to do?
I also kinda wish the font wasn't on there.

I mean it looks like straight arse in comparison to their other covers. The animation for it makes it a little better but at this point I'm just ready to put on some headphones and listen to this shite, album art be damned.

Holy shite it does look like a syringe.

According to Alex Grey on twitter it is only a part of the album cover. Tool isn't one to put out an arse cover, they take their time to make it cool. This is only the beginning of the revealing.
