Not the best or most talented. What was your favorite RB group?

My favorite was LaBrandon Toefield and Dominic Davis. Born in 90 and been going to games since 94. Those early 2000s teams just have a special place in my heart as a young fan growing up. “Big Toe” will always be one of my all-time favorite Tigers.

We’ve had many more talented backfields since then but those 2 were an integral part of the resurgence of LSU football. I’d imagine a lot of fans around my age would agree. Second for me is Hester/Williams/Scott for many of the same reasons.

My favorite would be Spencer Ware, Michael Ford, Alfred Blue, Kenny Hilliard and Terrence Magee. All very good running backs that I for one am glad they didn’t choose to play against LSU. And should have won a Championship but we will not talk about that........each back could have started for a lot of teams in the country.

Might be cooler and more hip to name a duo from the 50’s or earlier, but I’m going with Fournette and Guice. Literally the most talented backfield duo LSU had.

The Dalton and James Gang! Sammy Martin and Harvey Williams I liked as well. Hilliard and James were both good and very close in talent. James was faster top end but Hilliard was quicker and had better vision. But they complimented each other so well that eventually they were put in the starting lineup together. LSU ran more split backfield at that time. Would love to see LSU do that with these RB's. Get Clyde and Emery both on the field at the same time, the defense won't know which way to go. Or put in Curry or Davis, get some thunder with that lightening.

Didn't start watching CFB till 2006 so I will have to go with what I know in Fournette, Guice, and Williams. I just love the way Fournette and Guice ran, and Williams picked up for both when they were injured. Over a 2 year span LSU had 3 backs that had over 1100 yards from scrimmage in a single season.
