Caribbean/Mexico Family Trip

Looking to take the family (3 little kids) on a trip in the Spring and looking for suggestions on the best family friendly beach resorts. I’d prefer all-inclusive but it’s not necessary. Really want something with tons for stuff to do for little kids in order to keep them occupied.

Have you considered a cruise? Carnival and RCCL are great for families.

Beaches, Providenciales Turks and Caicos. It’s perfect for your family situation and it’s on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Beaches Turks and Caicos is the best all inclusive resort for kids and family! Email me at jaucoi5@gmail.com and I can give you the run down. We are going for the 4th time next year

What's this place run for a family of four for five nights?

People on the other boards perpetually call cruises trashy, but they are my favorite way to travel. Once you get on the boat every single thing you can imagine is taken care of for you.... I've never cruised w kids, but I know most have all day activities to keep them occupied while you do your thing.

We got back from Barceló in Mexico last week. Huge all-inclusive resort with plenty for adults and kids to do. There is a mall on site, along with a waterpark and you could swim with dolphins for extra money. Across the road were several cenotes you could explore for relatively cheap.

Like what? Honestly a cruise is best for this and probably provides the best options as far as variation. Disney cruise especially.
I mean are you looking to drop your kids off somewhere or by yourself? I mean people don't generally go to the Caribbean for options of fun outside of beaches and the pool.

quote:yeah, are y'all really spending $18,000 for a family of 4 including airfare for a week vacation? That's completely insane.

What are the ages of the kids? If under 10, you definitely should do the Disney Cruise. It is not trashy in the least. In fact, it is barely affordable although if you are going when other kids are in school it is much cheaper. They have rooms that sleep 5. The Fantasy and Dream sail out of Florida and are much nicer, bigger boats than the Wonder and Magic [although those will do].
If you have a mix of ages, including some teens, do a Royal Caribbean mega-boat. Not the cheap Majesty of the Seas that will be sailing out of New Orleans. Look at the Symphony of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Oasis or Harmony. Then, do a shore excursion to a beach in each port. Put your kids in kids camp, etc.... Look for an itinerary that stops at Perfect Day at Coco Cay.
Beaches Turks & Caicos is probably the number one AI for families of all ages, but it will run you $15000 or more. Look up Beaches Negril or Beaches Ocho Rios - these are always cheaper. Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana just opened about two years ago and is very highly rated by the people who go there — this is a great option too. Hard Rock Riviera Maya has a family only section and lots of activities and a waterpark. Hyatt Ziva in Cancun and Finest Playa Mujeres nearby. Moon Palace has activities and waterpark but beach not so nice there.
Closer to Louisiana, check out Hyatt Ziva in Cancun, Finest Playa Mujeres,
