Why in the world was he returning punts? That was the the biggest head scratcher to me with all the weapons we have.

I know we were all pumped to get Fehoko but nothing compared to the hype we had around Giles...who would have thought Fehoko would be the dominant player and Giles would be gone.

Think some blame has to go on giving him the number 7. He hadn’t played a snap, and he had a ton of pressure on him to live up to a level he wasn’t prepared for. I feel for the guy. Really hope he does well with Texas Southern.

The Schwaggie fumble really sealed his fate.

My one concern for Coach O is his assessment of talent with Giles being exhibit A. O touted the heck out of Giles during his redshirt year about how he was tearing it up on the scout team. Proclaimed him a starter...then add insult to injury proclaimed him virtually the most talented player on Offense when giving him #7 when he had done nothing to that point to earn it. Then after it was clear he was not the special talent as proclaimed, shite on him publicly with a few post game remarks.
All the while, Giles plays out this nightmarish scenario with class and dignity. I for one wish hi, the very best of success at Ga Southern. Hope he shows out though never did for LSU.

He is going to crush that league and rewrite the narrative. I’ll be pulling for him- he got shook pretty hard . It happens, I know it happened to me, you shake it off and stay focused, and write your own story. Giles will write his own story. Just like McMillan last year.

Good luck and all to him, but I’m sure glad we won’t have Mr. Skillet Hands to return punts this Fall.

The same coaches who designed the return game and kept trotting Giles our every single punt return are still on staff.

wish him well. Honestly the coaches were as responsible for overhyping him as anybody
For me the most startling thing was just how slow he was. It's one thing to not really be a very good receiver but I just sort of assumed he would be fast.
I don't know what his 40 time will be if he runs an official time but it's going to be bad
I don't necessarily think his 40 time is too slow, he just doesn't seem to have any burst or wiggle and cannot separate. He seems to lose steam after any change of direction.

Outside of the really costly muffed punt, his hands really weren’t an issue. He just looked slow and unelusive.

He had a 69/1158/13td as a soph at Texas Tech, im pretty sure plenty of people wanted to take a chance on this kid. LSU needed him bad because Miles ran off all the WR's that should have been in the program

think he is better than what he showed here and hope he can find his way to the next level.
That has to be depressing. Texas Tech to LSU then to Texas Southern.

Well he had Patrick Mahomes as QB and an offensive guru as a coach as much as I like Burrow he is not in the same sentence as Mahomes and same goes for Ensminger.

Still trying to return punts vs aggies
That fumble is what really cost us that game. The Faggies were done an he let them right back in. We had just shoved it down their throat on a long drive, their D was gassed (Not Standing Tall Mr. Mond), we get a quick 3 and out and dude fumbles the punt.

And?
Not a speedster, doesnt have great hands, not elusive, not quick, smallish body and not a great route runner. Hes just a guy. Did orgeron run him off?

Giles transferring to Texas Southern
Tears it up at TT, transfers to LSU, gets #7 a year later, didn't work out, transfers out.
