@Noahpinion
India lifted 271 MILLION PEOPLE out of poverty between 2006 and 2016, according to the United Nations.

271 MILLION.

What a human triumph.

Some Econ historians are calling it the single fastest reduction in poverty in the history of humanity (but not on per capita basis, that crown still belongs to Germany 1947-1957)

Humanity is getting better not worse.

Despite what you see on twitter and Facebook, we will die on an earth much richer and safer than the earth we were born on.

Nope. They’re using a multi-dimensional poverty index created by the U.N.

Despite what the media wants to tell us, people around the world are getting better off

Wasn't there a global recession in 2006?
I'm curious to how things are really better in India now compared to then.
And who they attribute the reduction of poverty to . I'm quite certain if CNN covered the story, CNN would say one thing and if FoxNews covered the story, FoxNews wojld say another thing.

In American the "raw sewage" is contained in a pipe and in India "the piss and shite" just flows down a coulee to the canal.

You don’t have to rely on either. The data set and methodology are available for anyone who wants to see for themselves.

More people worldwide have moved out of poverty in the last 30 years than the rest of human history.
