I’ve been wanting to play this forever, But no one I know likes playing board games
Seriously might force some people to play with me but what’s some good selling points for people who’ve never played games like this

If you are ever in Baton Rouge, my friends and I would gladly play that game and teach it to ya.

I would love to hang out and play board games. Sadly none of my friends/family play them.

Bought this on a whim one Thanksgiving and we had a blast with it. A good bit of replay value as their are different stories for you to play. It didn't take long for us to pick up the rules. I would love to get a board game night going somewhere.

I bought this about 2 months ago after eyeing it for years. Played once with my wife where we each took two characters, and then once with three other friends. It was definitely more fun with the larger group of people, but it took way longer as well. It was also still fun with just the two of us.
It's not the simplest game out there but it's far from the most complicated, which I think helps it a lot with getting new people to play.

we got it for Christmas a couple of years ago and tried to set up a game night with our group of college friends (married couples). Two of the damned wives in our group bitched the whole time about not knowing what was going on so the game stalled out. Haven't had the opportunity to play it yet. This is why my wife and I try and stick to games that can also be played with 2 players, because too many games collect dust when 3+ are needed.
Anyone here play a game called Scythe? This is probably our favorite game ever.

How did this work out for you? (see my post about not being able to play due to friends being jackasses).
It seems like it wouldn't be as fun knowing who the traitor is.

We played once and it worked out pretty well. When the betrayal happened, it ended up being one of her characters. I took the other one, and then it was my three characters vs her 1. She almost won but I got a few lucky rolls in. We did say that if we landed on a haunting with a secret traitor we would skip that one. It also probably would have been more fun for her if the haunting was one that included extra monster minions.
We have been meaning to break it out again, but instead we've been playing Hogwarts Battle , which is also super fun with just 2 players.

Well, everyone knows who the traitor is when the event happens. From what I’ve seen, like the entire table knows

Right, I think there's only 2-4 hauntings where the traitor is secret, and if you're playing two players you just skip it. There are also a few without a traitor at all.

Makes me want to play this now. Wish I worked in either Nola or BR. I would offer up my side room at work and host a game night and feed everyone

I bought it and played it with a group of four but none of us could figure the game out. Played for about an hour or two before the event finally happened but it was so confusing we gave up. Might have to try it again.

These days the best thing to do when getting a new board game is go watch a few youtube videos of people playing it. You'll get a general sense of the gameflow and it will give you a better idea of if you'll like the game or not.

It is a fun game, no doubt. I have only played two 'stories' in it and I do not own it myself. Still, an enjoyable couple hours with some beers and fellow nerds.
