Love the hire. Gives us an even stronger presence in a very fertile recruiting ground

No, he was the Basketball Operations assistant, which is an official position that can run practices, run camps, recruit on campus, etc.

That position has not been filled. The fact that Nickelberry was given a “special” position tells me that Wade has a guy for that spot identified already.

ETA: to clarify, he does come under the “rehab” angle, because he was basically fired from Arizona State for a DWI.
