Trump vs. Mazars

So how melty is this board going to be when the Mazars case gets upheld and SCOTUS refuses to take up writs??
And then the Court in the Deutsche Bank/Capitol One case uses that decision as precedent?
I'd put it at about a 5.5-6.5. Slightly melty, but not democrats on 11/8/16 melty.

I haven’t a clue what you are talking about

That would an historically bad decision. Allowing congress to obtain financial records for political purposes is scary. Where would it stop?

probably at the point where it's no longer political.
that wasn't very hard.

It's not about him making money. It is about him inflating his wealth when he wanted to take out loans, and deflated his wealth when he wanted to skirt around paying taxes.
It's almost as if you have absolutely no idea whatsoever what exactly happened that led to Trump suing his own accounting firm.

What's scary is "progressives" absolutely cheering on police state tactics.

Want to explain what the hell you are talking about?
You will get no discussion if you drive-by post without giving context.
ETA: I googled your case since you didn’t provide anything at all. What exactly is it that you think will come from this case again? And what does the Capital One case have to do with anything?
Further, beyond political ammunition, what is it that you think will come out of the Oversight Committee reviewing these records? Because after all, that is the only purpose they have in requesting them.

There was a 41 page opinion written by the judge. Why don't you give that a whirl hotshot.

I know the case but does it not bother you that the Chairman of the House Ways and Means can subpoena and obtain any citizen's taxes for shits and grins? The law screams political weaponization of private information ...but I suppose it"s OK if it can embarrass The Orange One. Fourth Amendment protections be damned!!!!

So, you got nothing as expected.

Trump vs. Mazars. The President sued his accounting firm.
quote:
And what does the Capital One case have to do with anything?
Both cases were lost by Trump. The judge in the Capitol One / Deuschthe Bank case cited the Mazars' judges ruling. They both deal with Trump trying to prevent the congressional committees from obtaining financial records for trump.
Oral argument in this case will be in like 2 months or less.
I'd imagine the Capitol One/ Deutsche Bank case will be fast tracked as well. Trump will likely lose both on appeal. He will appeal to SCOTUS. SCOTUS will deny his writs in both cases and affirm the lower courts' ruling against Trump.
The entities will all be forced to comply with the subpoenas and trump will have shot his shot as far as stopping it from happening.
