So what Sanctions are they trying to hit LSU with?

Do we honesty have anything to worry about? Which is worse? Football or basketball?

I’m not really that worried about anything but if I were to be worried about a specific sport, it’d be football because of this new allegation of paying Vadal Alexander’s father. I think basketball is pretty much out of the water because the whole thing was pretty much blown out of proportion by the media and everyone knows it

Read Dandy Don he has a good write up in his report which is simple and straight forward.

They aren't. They are investigating the Funes situation to find out if Funes was paying Vadal's father for Vadal to play at LSU. Which he wasn't. Funes was using people he knew to filter the money through and back to himself. As usual Yawho and their clowns are trying to imply LSU was using Funes to pay player for pay, and this is not the truth. Regarding Will Wade, as far as the NCAA is concerned he was not on any FBI wiretaps. A rep for the NCAA has been interviewed and he said the NCAA cannot use any information unless it was entered into the trial as evidence or discussed in open court. WW's situation was not entered as evidence and not discussed in open court. The NCAA rep said they can only use leaked information as a point of reference, but cannot use it against any one. So as concerning WW, he will not be required to discuss anything om the wiretaps. He cannot be forced or threatened with sanctions in order to discuss it, it is not usable evidence against him. The NCAA has already spoken with WW as has LSU. Wade has said he cannot discuss what may or may not be on the wiretaps because he has not heard them. And he will not ever hear them. All that evidence is now closed and only what evidence was entered into the trial or discussed in open court can be used by the NCAA.

The only thing that may or may not change what you wrote is the Nike case.

LSU Fans will not let this go. They keep bringing it up drawing more attention. Let it go man. Move on.

While I don't think they're passing out sanctions just yet, don't put too much sugar on it. Sounds like you're ready to move on. But with the NCAA, where there's smoke - well you know.
I like to assume that LSU is a clean program but it's completely feasible there's some kind of shady shite under the surface. And if there's any school that could frick it up and get caught, it's always gonna be us.

Come on man! ALL programs are dirty. When is the last time other than under Dale that we got hit with anything that really mattered? Just stop it!

Anytime this kind of money is involved with this many peoples hands in it, there will be corruption.

WW is required (by contract) to cooperate with all investigations. If he refuses, he can be fired for cause. There is no such thing as "taking the fifth" when it comes to a coach being questioned by the NCAA.

WW must discuss/explain the wiretaps to the NCAA. The NCAA will then decide if WW's story is credible.

That may work as a response to the media, but not the NCAA.

A "media report" about the wiretaps is evidence.

funes doesn't work for lsu nor does Alexander's dad attend lsu....
therefore, lsu football in no way did anything wrong...no sanctions...

4 year SOL should be up by now depending on when the NCAA received the information

Like when DJ Fluker said he took money from an Agent? Or an Asst Strength coach funneling money to players? Cam Newton's Dad getting a $180,000 donation to his church?
That kind of smoke?

The SEC Rant is not reality. Read that board as fictional entertainment.
No matter how many threads they start about what happens after LSU gets the death penalty, it’s not going to happen (nor are any sanctions) unless grounds exist for them.
Basketball proved to be a media-contrived nothingburger.
There is no evidence at this point that there was anything shady going on with the football program.
A criminal using relatives of former LSU players to help facilitate his money laundering scheme does not implicate LSU football in any way, no matter how much Yahoo paparazzi or SEC Rantards wish it were the case.

Irish LSU Fan has an unhealthy hatred for Will Wade.
Not sure the background, but it’s clearly personal. My guess is Wade didn’t tip when he/she brought him his order at Sonic.

The media report itself is not evidence for the NCAA.
However is that the NCAA could choose to consider testimony from people who have heard the tapes to inform their decision beyond the realm of possibility?
If you look at past cases, the NCAA has charged programs with infractions many times without the degree of "smoking gun" evidence you would need in a court of law.
The bottom line is that neither the people who seem so sure Wade is totally in the clear nor people convinced he'll end up with a show cause really have any idea what the NCAA will eventually do with this case.
