Back in olden days before the internet I sometimes entertained myself by going into the LSU library stacks and perusing the old magazines.

Looking through magazines of the 1920s the most fascinating thing was the huge number of car ads from companies in Indiana and other non-Detroit places.

The crash would drive virtually all these companies out of business.

Ford GT40 Mark II. And it's not even close to 2nd place.

2nd place though...

And if you don't know what car this is, you weren't raised right.

'55 Bel Air

My dad had a new 55 Bel Air and was hit broadside on the drivers door. Broke his leg and totaled the car. I think he was more upset about the car than his leg.

Dunno what it is, but it kinda reminds me of Speed Racer.

My 67 Mustang Fastback was a thing of beauty. So wish I had it now.

I bet this is sarcasm, but the Sebring was actually a pretty good looking car. Too bad its looks were probably the only thing good about it.

This.
The new mid engine vette should be beautiful, too.

Yeah, but as Chrysler products go, it doesn't compare with Jon Voight's LeBaron convertible!
